Take the long route and overnight in Edinburgh as it’s lovely!!!!

Hope this helps.

Somewhere different would be knoll house near studland and you could tie it in with a couple of hours on studland naturist beach as well then.

Cycled that in a day once... 170miles!

Just stopped at the Hampton by Hilton at Exeter Airport which is easy to find £69 per night and free breakfast WiFi and parking. Close to Exeter, Exmouth and Dawlish.

Hard to find places to stay at the mo

Enjoy x

Excellent idea

no rooms at knoll house, but it’s given us ideas.

Springfield country hotel, near Wareham if it's open. Not been there myself but does look nice.

I figured from your post you were thinking something different.

Here is a interesting one, the rnli college. Cool place and the accommodation is hotel like, great views on holes bay side, restaurant is good food at good prices and a short walk to Poole quay. (Would need to check if taking bookings from public at the moment, they normally do but we aren't in normal times).
