hi guys me and the hubby are off to Liverpool on the 22nd of August for a night. Just looking for recommendations on what to do or where to drink as we haven't been before

There's quite a few decent places to drink in Liverpool. Depends what kind of night your after. Mathew street is popular aswell as Concert Square. Again, depends what your looking for.

Liverpool is definitely a broad church when it comes to nightlife. The Seel Street area is also good for drinking and there are traditional pubs on Dale St and Tithebarn St. If you're looking for nice restaurants you could strike out to Bold St or up to Hope St, which is an attractive area with cobbled streets and Georgian architecture. A the previous poster has suggested, it depends how raucous or classy you want to go

If you decide to explore outside the city centre, try Sefton Park or the Anthony Gormley statues on Crosby beach.

Swerve Mathew street.

Full of idiots

Loads of nice little boozers up by hardman street passed the bombed out church (try the phil)and lots of nice little restaurants too.

Bold street is great and has FACT cinema, my go to place when I’m in the City.

Off Sefton Park is Lark Lane, some nice cafes and shops
