worst excuse for a no show

I wondered what the poorest excuse that has been given? I once had a lady text me one hour before a meet to tell me she had just remembered it was her mums birthday..and wait for it...she had organised it and forgoten, you have to laugh!

I was beginning to think that I was a hazard to public health as I went through a spell of people's mothers having heart attacks on the evenings of meetings and being rushed into hospital.

The worst excuse though, received the day after a no-show, by message on here, was as simple as "well that's life innit?".

My fave was a guy i had arranged to meet, i dont accommodate so i got the train to his and he arranged to pick me up at the station, i got to said arranged place and waited, and waited, about 15 mins after he was supposed to pick me up i got a text saying

Sorry theres been a change of plan im meeting somebody else now so im not coming to pick you up, but if you want to book into a hotel while your here i'll come see you in the morning

My story didnt have that bad an ending I had booked a hotel next to belle vue greyhounds and decided I would go over and have a bet, ended up winning a nice few quid so wasnt really that bothered in the end...but thats not the point

Had quite a few excuses, but nothing too outrageous. Usually:

Wifes come in

Wifes took the car

Called in to work

Family member/friend popped round

Usually this is followed by no further contact, so pretty much your everyday timewasters.

This saturdays potential conquest suddenly managed to find himself a girlfriend between 6pm and 9pm yesterday...the mind boggles, perhaps he'd dropped her down the back of the sofa!

Also had at least 10 family heart attacks, two dogs at the vets, one "my daughter needs some change for her takeaway" and one "your sat nav is shit"

Only once, and it was a date not a meet. He phoned as he was leaving, half an hour later he hadn't arrived. He called in distress saying he'd had a car crash in East Croydon and had caused major problems but he was unhurt but shocked.

I was not amused and wasn't very nice: called him all sorts.

I think there is an unofficial name n shame, we all gather friends on here and if we have a negative experience we tend to tell our friends who tell their friends and so on.... might be a bit slower but word does get around eventually with regard to people who pissing others about an I think people will take more notice of what someone they know says than if there were a list of 'don't meet this person because....'.

One guy I was supposed to meet at the station and walk to the club together (as I didn't know where I was going). I got there, tried texting and calling but the number had been de-activated, so tried to walk to the club myself, and got lost. So I went home and, on the way (three hours after we were supposed to meet!), he texted from another number asking where I was. He was sat in the club all cosy and expected me to have divined this somehow.

I was meeting another guy in a pub. Meet time came and went without him showing so I texted him. Half an hour later he texted back saying he was still in bed with a women he'd picked up the night before, and I was welcome to come round and watch!

I have lost count of the amount of guys who have texted to say they had been held back at work and would I mind waiting for 2 hours. Erm, yes I would!

I've just had a meet cancelled but I hadn't even done my nails as I knew he would. I usually meet for a social meet during the week during my lunch time.

Whenever they've been unable to meet and I've arranged a weekend meet it never happens. His car somehow wouldn't start this morning and living in west London there's no transport this side of the river.

Arranged a meet for last week with a guy, had been talking on msn for a couple of weeks and every time i logged on without saying a word he'd just send a cam invite, i got fed up with it so told him to go find someone else if all he wanted to do was cam, he said it wasnt he did want to meet he just liked looking at me while we spoke, but for some reason he could only look with his cock in his hand

It was someone of another site. I was driving from manc to bham to see her, she text me in the morning saying i cant wait to see u and told me to leave as soon as i could.

I ditched work and drove down, I text her saying im on way got few texts back along the way then i got to bham and her phones off no reply to texts or anything..

i stayed for an hour or so and left. at night i get a text with the excuse of- her phone died and her dog destroyed her phone.

Cam people are usually teases with no intention of actual meets. I gave up with people on cams.

One time I arranged to meet someone for a drink, i turned up and couldnt see her anywhere. I had a drink on my own to see if she would arrive but didnt. Her car even has a noticeable sticker on it and didnt see it. Get home and find a snottty email asking where I was??!! Apparently she was there,but we somehow totally didnt see each other
