Fab fatigue

Does anyone else get fab fatigue? This site is awash with freaks, arseholes and bellends (see what I did there!), with the odd good one thrown in.

Is it the nature of the site?

Yes, usually a good sign that you need to take a break is when somebody is getting on your nerves to the point that it’s actually affecting your mood

I take regular breaks , 2-3 weeks on here and then a holiday from it ... constant non replies takes it toll eventually

Hell yea we both do but seeing as I’m on here much more I do regularly get fed up with it all.

So much so that when you get a time out it doesn’t bother you at all!!!!!

It’s the dishonesty that grinds me down.

It seems to go in cycles we have a period when it's all great and we chat with some really great people the we get a period where it either nothing or idiots.

Breaks are good as you appreciate the good times better

Unfortunately it’s the way of fab, it seems to attract it’s fair share of Wombles... The world is full of them, and unfortunately they gravitate to fab.

The lockdown has brought out the worst in some but it makes for another filter.

We have not meeting etc and still got plenty of messages so just hid our profile.

The site seems to have become hard work in the last couple of years trying to arrange anything so now we just say we're at such and such club on this date if you fancy hooking up, if they don't show then it's not a problem.

I’ve come and gone from the site numerous times over the years. I do worry that it starts to impinge too much on normal life and stops me from interacting in conventional ways with the opposite sex.

Yep, but I don’t let people on the internet affect me. I delete fab when I find I’m wasting time on here rather than being real world productive. I’ve been a member on and off for ten years, without sounding too, ‘things were better in the old days’, I find people very dismissive now, you used to be able to have good chats on here, regardless of attraction, made some very good friends back in the day, it’s a different site now though, mind you real world attitudes have changed similarly in ten years too.

I take a break fairly often. Maybe different reasons. I wouldn’t mind the occasional message from a freak, but I imagine a constant stream of them is tiring

I principally use the site for a bit of hedonistic escapism; I don’t consider myself a ‘lifestyle’ swinger. So I pop in and pop out, when opportunity, or need to escape from everyday life, arises.
