Depends what you're looking to do. The Peak District is nice and has lots of hotels or Airbnbs dotted around - you can stay near a town or go a lot more rural if you just want peace and quiet.

Lincoln is on my "to visit" list (was booked for a weekend in May

)

naughty weekend away. Village hotel off J10 M6. Friday night Chameleons Saturday daytime Angles and Sinners adult cinema Saturday night Chameleons again. That's Pre Covid might want to check what clubs are open

Lots of lovely place with beautiful surroundings where we live (Scottish Borders) so we usually stay pretty local. We are booked in our favourite hotel Saturday night, only half an hour from home for a sexy night away

Not too far from you is Bewdley. There’s a lovely pub dating back to the 13th Century, with accommodation that overlooks the river. There’s also a bar that gets lively on Friday and Saturdays, though no doubt it’s toned down at the moment.

We are going mid august , due to it also being school half term the prices have rocketed , possibly now looking to head towards bath if any body has any ideas
