Very much so. Love it. I think intelligence and quality discussion are very under rated. So long as it avoids politics and religion!

Mr here. I find my attraction grows the more I'm intellectually engaged with a woman. I can literally be talked into bed.

A sophophilic is about gaining knowledge regardless of what form that comes in, you could do it alone

Yes. Especially when there is a mutual attraction and an undercurrent of lust for one another.

Conversation ??? what's that ??? but we do find meeting someone with a wide range of interests does make for far more interesting meets and conversation and as mrs 4 never gets fed up of reminding people...the brain is the largest sex organ on any ones body and a brain isn't a optional extra and you have to be able to stimulate her mind before anything else is stimulated

I must be a true sophophile as I often get horny while researching. I masturbate in order to return to study as the horniness is distracting.

I cannot claim to be a true sapiophile in the sense conversations turn me on, but I am attracted to a person through their show of intelligence. In the same way a lack of intelligence will destroy any desire to get to know a person. Intelligence, however, is not the sum of one's intellect or body of knowledge.

In the world we live in today I find not enough people want to share it or want to hear it. I could be wrong ....

I don't think I'm I'm specifically sexually aroused by it, but I like to have intellectual conversations. That ability to talk and connect with somebody can open up doors to intimacy further down the line. I couldn't be intimate with somebody I can't have a proper conversation with on the whole.

When we’re talking and she’s engrossed in the subject and it’s fascinating to hear her speak, that’s a very attractive quality

We like a good conversation, it gives you a idea of what the person is like and if you will get on

Absolutely!

There is more to attraction than the surly physical! Many more factors and attributes can really excite. I'm very much sapiosexual!

I'm interested in people and want to know about them. Nothing to talk about means you have nothing in common and that's a turn off to me.

To be able to converse about politics and/or religion without descending into squabbles is something not for everyone. Esp for religion when it helps to understand philosophy (ie. Hume etc) and ontologies. Feynman explains it best in the clip about the why question.

I find pseudo intellectuals amusing.

It’s similar to Goodwill Hunting:

People quoting others or imparting a limited viewpoint based on an article they read, whilst sitting on the lav!

I love an interesting conversation but I didn’t join Fab to start a book club!

Just being honest.

I much prefer to have humour and a relaxing evening than trying to demonstrate my intellectual prowess-I save that for work.

Sometimes I drop a big word into a sentence to make myself appear more intelligent and photosynthesis

It's a sex site - on sites like this, most people act in a way that that they wouldn't if they had just met you face to face. Its the nature of the type of site and the medium.....and that people don't read profiles.

It's inevitable that most of the messages you receive through this site will not stimulate you mentally.
