my job involves being on call its the opposite every week but i do warn people before hand rather than risk it

That’s my favourite Fab excuse. I’ve heard it before or a variation of “I’ve been asked to work”. Yeah right!

Yes very few jobs, suddenly require you to give up your free time to deal with some kind of ‘emergency’.

But I’m very sceptical when it comes to no shows

you can doubt me as much as you like lol but like 1,000 of people whos jobs include being on call its the truth but like i said if im on call i pre warn

Some years ago I actually used it in the 'reverse' sense, by telling my wife I had to work an extra Saturday night shift - which had been scheduled, but then cancelled - and went to visit a cuckold couple instead...

I’ve unfortunately had a daytime meet planned and then had a conference call I couldn’t ignore with the CEO.

I so wanted to play but also need my job so I believe it does happen for real and not just a made up excuse.

Luckily the couple were understanding and we rearranged and had a fantastic time which has repeated

Story had a happy ending

My work has me on call occasionally, but if I’m on call I wouldn’t have a meet set up. Seems pointless.

Abducted by Aliens, Dog chewed my penis off, Doc Brown came back from the future to tell me my kids were in trouble in the future. A big fuck off tornado whisked me away to a magical place. Where there were midgets and an extremely green menopausal woman, A gay robot, An emotional insecure lion and Jimmy saville dressed as a scarecrow. All valid excuses in my eyes for a no show.
