Ok apologies for this, but, it really annoys me when I send a message and it's deleted before it's even read, I understand that we single guys outweigh everyone else and I may not be everyone's cup of tea, but when I email a nice, polite message, it would be nice for it just to be read....I'm not even asking for a reply...even though I've had some emails from people I'm not even looking for and have always emailed back to say a polite 'no thanks'.

Again sorry about that....I just had to vent lol....as my nan used to say, 'manners cost nothing'

As a single female I will say why I delete messages without reading them. One reason is that I specify an age range clearly on my profile, messages saying "oh but I look younger" dont wash. The other reason is I seem to attract people from the other end of the country! Now what would be the point in engaging in any conversation with them, were never going to meet!!

And as for manners, I think its manners to read a profile thoroughly before contact is made, just to make sure you are what the person is looking for xxx

I totally agree if people are not in your age range etc. I've not knowingly ever emailed someone that I'm not going to match, but I can understand how frustrating that could be.

I hope I havent opened a can of worms here lol

Could not agree more but folk would also display their good manners by being able to accept without dummy spitting that maybe just maybe someone is simply not in the least bit interested, hence the deletion

Before I close this thread I just need to say that there are some that reply and some that don't the site is divided and no-one is right or wrong about how they run their profiles

If you think its rude not to respond to a message then you would'nt want to meet them anyway.......lucky escape for you

some people check out a profile before reading a message and if it doesnt suit them they delete the message

Some people like to reply to every mesage they recieve but no-one has to reply to anything if they don't want to

You have to not let it worry you and move on to the next potential playmate and concentrate on them
