It's alright to have fantasies, we all have them.

The reality of acting them out is a different story. If you watch your ex wife with other men, maybe you'll find she had a sexual side you never knew existed. Or she enjoys sex with them more, and does stuff she did not with you.

I don’t think it’s about hatred, personally I just don’t see why you’d bother. Many more fish in the sea. I don’t berate my ex’s, we just weren’t right for each other. They’re good people. I don’t fantasies about them though!
