Beards are brilliant.......or are they?

I have a dilemma.

Since our last escapades, and during lockdown. I've grown a thick full beard acompanied by a handlebar moustache. I love the way it looks. It probably ages me. I reckon I look late rather early 40's, as it has lots of grey in it. It certainly splits opinions with the women I encounter in vanilla life. And all being told, my gut feeling is that it'll probably get shaved off when the swimming pools reopen, and I recommence my usual exercise routine anyway. I'm not sure I can hack doing lengths with hair flapping around my face.

However I have been wondering my dear lads and ladies on the scene.

Would my beard be a turn off or a turn on if encountered in a club?

I think its an acquired taste! Some love them some dislike them!

Also depends on the man I think, as there are different types of beard!

I'm not meaning this in a disrespectful way at all.

There's the type that grows very fine and more like head hair and you can see right through it!

Then the patchy beard that doesn't grow in places!

I personally wouldn't grown a beard long in these 2 circumstances!

Again its no disrespect but you can either grown a beard or you can't!

There's also having a long think beard and it looking awful.

I well groomed beard makes a lot of difference in appearance!

I've had the beard for 4/5 years. Some women hate it. Some women love it. I don't grow a big bushy hipster one, just a short one, but it suits my face.

But it's that marmite thing, some love it some don't. So just do what you want to do and don't worry about those who don't like it, because they'll be plenty more women, with better taste obviously, who do like it, and then you'll be in there like swimwear.

I'm going to be controversial here. No man with a beard can really go down on a woman properly. Its just too rough surely. When i go down on a woman I like to get right in there. I dont do gentle licks and flicks. Actually i do a bit but my main shock and awe comes from full visceral contact. Pretty sure i couldn't do it with a beard. Never mind all the juices stuck to a beard lol

Can't go down on a women properly???? I strongly disagree with this! How can it be to rough on a women!?? A full strong beard (correct me of I'm wrong) isn't rough on a women and defiantly does not effect oral capabilities!

Stubble and shaven, now that would be irritating and rough no!?? And the juices stuck in the beard is a bonus can save some for later

This thread is pretty much confirming the Marmite thing.

In reference to the oral sex mentioned above. My good lady wife definitely thinks it's worse with a beard. And that's comparing like for like. My skills haven't got any worse, but the sensation isn't as pleasurable.

She's definitely in favour of me shaving. She actually much prefers my fizzog with the beard. However isn't definitely a hinderance in the bedroom. Especially kissing.

Are you using any products on it? You should definitely be using a little oil every day, and some beard balm if you want to keep the frizzy hairs in check and keep it looking sharp. Honestly, a beard of any decent length should be much softer than a stubbly close-trimmed beard anyway, but if you treat it properly it should be soft and shiny not coarse and scratchy.

Aaaw what's up with the beard shaming sparse facial hair can like just as nice, just like bushy ones it depends on grooming style and how it plays off the read of the facial features.

OP my bf has grown his bread too and has two distinct grey streaks, it's so funny! He wants to grow it longer so he can plat them . He's in his late 30s and not a single grey hair on his head yet. Beard hair colour does its own thing often enough, the mismatch can look odd but also interesting.

Had a big beard previous to and during lockdown but have just had it cut shorter, still dont know how i feel about it, dont think i would of got it shorter if it hadn't been for the barbers being closed so couldnt get it regularly groomed. Mrs has always loved my beard but know a lot of women who dont.

Yeah, I'm using oil and balm. Special shampoo, and wax for the twist.

It's certainly not course or scratchy. She just doesn't like the hair tickling her nose lol. I've encountered such issues in other areas prior to growing a beard. nudge nudge wink wink lol
