Short and sweet? Direct? Lengthy and a bit more beat around the bush?

I've just updated ours and it's pretty direct, which isn't to everyone's taste. I like it though.

What do you like?

If I scroll down and see an essay I wont be arsed reading it.

I mainly just look at the pictures

Perfect profile guys! Not just saying that. Like the up front bit on dislikes and great pictures too. Happy fabbing!

Something different/amusing.

If it feels like a list of instructions we skip it.

If there is no detail at all we skip it.

We want an idea of who you are as compatibility goes way beyond a pretty face and a set of abs.

Thanks both, probably a touch too long but if it gets any shorter it sounds a bit aggressive and neanderthal-esque

Greenwich, SE LONDON

We like something that gives us a sense of their personality.

That can be short and snappy or longer but just needs to "grab us". We find it gives a voice or narration to their pictures.

We are not keen on the "results of the bdsm test" style ones though.

I just check for info that means I wont meet them, the style of content and grammar and punctuation.

The rest is down to a face pic and conversation.

It's not the length more the style. If I start reading and I'm bored then I stop. Something interesting, perhaps slightly self-depracating rather than just a shopping list. Something to make me smile and go hmmmm...

from Home Counties to Middle Earth

Long, or short and to the point; it doesn't matter as long as they're clear, articulate, with a bit of personality.

I find, someone stating they're fun, is somewhat ironic.

We like to read a good bit of info about a person, humour is good, quirky is better.

A-Z Bucket lists, a stream of do’s and don’ts or likes and dislikes can be off putting. It’s nice to know some things but too many is overwhelming.

We’re a pretty relaxed couple and our meets reflect that I think. We don’t want to feel like it’s a performance or that we are there to perform for someone’s kinks.

Check the photos for attraction first, then the text and details. A couple of paragraphs with none of those "disclaimers" is ideal I'd say. I get pretty bored of profiles which are just endlessly rambling or a huge list of dos and don'ts.

My nan’s spare room.

I like the liquid bios, I think persil do one that smells lovely.

Although I don’t really know the difference between bio and non-bio.

Other than the obvious obviously.

We’ve done our profile direct also, not that everyone reads it We still get messages and winks from people we’re not sexually compatible with Profiles too short or too long are off putting for us. We actually only reply to about 3% of profiles

We probably reply to more than we should tbh. I suppose we give people a chance even though gut instinct tells us it'll be a non-starter

Definitely like a profile with a good selection of likes and dislikes as well as a selection of pictures, if someone has taken the time to write it, we'll read it.

I prefer bios that show personality and aren’t just a list of rules and likes/dislikes. Bios like that make me think they’re boring, and take life too seriously.

Not an essay but not short either, I do like to be able to understand a bit about who they are and what they're looking for. I like it to be honest and fairly direct.

I think that's how mine is pitched...?

Yep... The amount of messages I get where they clearly haven't even read the top line.

For me, the more info the better. Generally the more someone writes, the easier it is to gauge personality, which is hugely important to me. Someone might fit all my preferences and have pics I like, but have something mega off-putting in their bio, and I'm always glad they wrote enough to save me the bother of messaging and wasting time learning we aren't compatible.

Long profiles that mostly repeat already stated info just nark me, though.

Tin town

You can buy a tin of beans in lidl or harrods. At the end of the day, we are all behind the same shop window on this site. Some people tout their wears in other shopfronts too. So firstly I think it's important to recognise which shop we are currently in. It's very convenient with heaps of free parking. This shop piles it high and sells it cheap.

As for profiles... Being a man I'm very visual so pictures are good but not the b all and end all. Dislike text and street speak, like great verbiage skills. And above all there are some words or images that words conjure up that resonate very well and excite me to reach out and try to connect.... With appalling success I hasten to add... But we can only try again.

Even worse than that are those that read profiles and message anyway because they are not remotely interested in the wet hole they want to stick their cock in.

"I know I'm not what you're looking for but..."

I like a good read , like a bit of humour and like lots of pics - profiles with effort in them go to the top

Your profile is your profile and you can say anything you want on it. It will or it won't attract what you're looking for.

We like ours because it's mostly silly with a tiny bit of what we're actually looking for ... Black men, ladies and couples with a sense of humour. Having a sense of humour for us is vital. However, most people don't read anyway, they just look at the pics and vids

I like an upbeat profile. If I look at a profile and it's don't, won't, moan then I lose interest very quickly, same with a status. It's also difficult to get interested in one or two scentance profiles. It's nice to have something specific to ask if you want to introduce yourself. Photos are great but not compulsory to grab my interest. Then it's interests, what do we have in common. So I suppose its lots of different things really but positivity is the key for me.

Anyone who doesn't read a profile, doesn't deserve a reply. You can't be arsed, why should they?
