Inflated opinion of yourself

So many profiles we come across seem to be describing somebody else other than the individual(s) in the photo gallery.

Guess this goes hand in hand with the territory but surely when you actually meet things must get awkward.

We’ve been fortunate enough that the people we have met have all been on par with the pictures and descriptions.

Presuming you meet socially first, how do you react when the situation arises? Do you give them a reality check? Enjoy the evening anyways but politely refuse taking it any further? Think “ahh fuck it” and go for it anyways?

Have you ever turned up and had your ego dented when you realise you didn’t look as good in the flesh?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so someone you might find unattractive might be gorgeous to someone else.

People are only wasting their own time. What's the point?

If we haven't met before it's good practice to meet in a club then we can still have a sexy evening having made the effort.

We've walked from bar and hotel meetings before and it's incredibly frustrating having made the effort but be met by people that don't match their profile.

I think some people in society in general live their lives like this ..

Big mortgages to live in a large house, leased car to look good on the drive ..

It’s all about other people’s perceptions..

Unfortunately these people actually own nothing and haven’t enough money to buy a pint at the end of the month .. lol

But they think they’re a cut above everyone else

I'd just have a social first with no play on the table, there are a myriad of benefits

And they are usually very insecure and unhappy

I prefer to meet in a club rather than another venue, then if they’re not what I was expecting or the same opposite the evening hasn’t been ruined for either of us.

I literally have to go from a Male to look as close to a female image as I can possibly get, so close up I may not be as successful as I’d like (or they like).

In the past I’ve only had one meet in a hotel and that was fine as we met in the bar first, room afterwards

I just leave if its not really going to be what I thought , not that concerned about upsetting a strangers feelings with upping and going tbh .

life goes on they will get over it even if feeling offended.

I had one meet say they found me offensive for telling them I am leaving after 10minutes , I had to point out that they look barely anything like the pic on profile and do they see me crying salty tears over being offended by it .

We haven't had the 'those profile pictures must have been taken at least 15 years ago' experience ... Or the add 6 inches on to height trick ... But we have had a couple of appallingly dull socials, and with hindsight, the clues were there ... 3 word responses to messages on here, no interest in us ... So no disconnect, just us being blinded by wanting to get out there and find playmates

Getting the best out of this site is about experience and trial and error ..

I look for a sense of humour..

So never contact serious profiles ..

I don't have a house or a car, but it sure was nice being able to buy a round for my less fortunate friends

These profiles were more like non-existent ... But the photos meant that ... Well ... We weren't thinking with our brains Lesson learned, for us a bit of spark and personality is really important. If people are dull on here, they seem to be worse in real life (in our experience, but I'm sure there are exceptions before I get shot down in flames)

I certainly wouldn’t go ahead with sex - but neither would I give them a ‘reality check’ as I think that would be cruel! I tend to meet people for a ‘purely social’ anyway - ergo I don’t have the embarrassment of explaining I don’t want to take it further there and then.

Re your status - perhaps they think you want dick pics because your first pic is a close up fanny pic with cum dripping out of it? Perhaps they’re just offering like for like? X

Let's be honest... We all post the best photos of ourselves on here. No one takes a photo and days "oh no, that's an unflattering angle, let me post that straight away!"

That's why I prefer to see a video where it's all much more honest, or chat for a bit on another app to get a better sense of someone.

I don't think it's lying to only show your best self on here though.

There is a song which could have been written for fabs

Here is a few lines

Oh lord it’s hard to be humble

When your perfect in every way

I can’t wait to look in the mirror as I get better looking each day

To know me is to love me I must be a hell of a man

Oh lord it’s hard to be humble but I’m doing the best that I can

Listen to it on amazon it’s called by the first line lol

I'd like to think our pics are honest and our profile reflects us, but who knows! They are what we consider good ones of us so.. Not had a meet yet so will be interesting to see lol

Definitely going to be meeting for a social before anything further happens though to give everyone a graceful opt out if there's no chemistry.

My House

Enjoy the evening and politely take things no further. We've done it and had it done to us.

These days, if we're honest, we're looking more for giggles and laughter than trying to get laid. People take this shit far too seriously.

As you can tell by our profile, we're very VERY arrogant and conceited about our looks and athletic bodies and therefore insist on only the best

Star War fans need not apply
