Male contraception pill is on the way... can our species be trusted to take it.

Women? Did you think is it has the same side effects we would even take it...

Imagine the following:

"if your man forgets your bday theres no way is he remembering to take that sh!t"

"Do you think a guy will take the pill with side effects like, weight gain, headaches, mood swings, bleeding, lack of sex drive... #myth"

I wouldn't trust a woman either, excluding mine. Can't afford to be nieve when it comes to possible conception...

In a word? No.

Contraception will always be the highest priority for the one who would be left holding the baby.

Its been on its way since I was in my twenties.. ( a long time ago lol)

But to be fair.. Would anyone, male or female really trust the word of another unless in a long term relationship??? even then it can be iffy..

How many women have accidentally on purpose forgotten their pill.. So I dont think trust is something that is one sided...

I would still have my implant.. I would still take my pill and I would still make most of my meets wear condoms..

I always said to my wife if they ever made one I could guarantee never to forget to take it. However don't think its ever going to happen so I had the snip to be sure!

There is only one person i would trust and thats myself. Plus im assuming its not going to protect against std's so if your a swinger it would be as well as and not instead as

*naive even, what a weird typo...

Not always. Some single women want kids, a lot of single men don't want all their money disappearing for 18 years!

I wouldn't trust men I meet for sex only a relationship harsh but true. many men wanna go bareback on here even though my profile says safe only so if men don't care about infecting a woman they hardly gonna loose sleep if she has a pregnancy to cope with and yeah that's very general but its aimed at those who wanna bareback more than anyone else as those who wanna bareback me are also cagey about details so makes me think they may actually wanna 'breed' as one man put it to me.

Geez....

Not everyone is the same. I wouldn't forget. If there's something i need to remember, i make multiple notes, and sear it into my brain. If it is that important to you, you wouldn't forget anyway.

Some of us are more meticulous than others.

Ha ha ha love it! With the track record of women getting pregnant by accident in the UK come on men are bound to have a better success rate.

why wouldnt you trust a man to take it, how many men want to get someone pregnant?

if your worried about being safe then still going to need condoms to protect from disease when going with new people.

i think in relationships most guys are going to be as good at remembering as women

Think it's a great idea but like an earlier post says its been on the cards for years. Honestly though. I'd take it. I don't really see what is so hard about remembering to take one tablet/day. Thing is, and I'm sorry to say this guys but I'm sure plenty of men would say they have taken it even if they hadnt just to have sex. Sorry, but there are a lot of bloke out there like that. But before any body rips my head off for saying this, I do know there are also a lot of men who would take it properly.

I take it we are talking about the daily/weekly pill version here as opposed to the injection that lasts around 6 months?

but they aint going to be many situations where ur with a new partner where they are going to be like, ok so ur on the male pill i will have sex with you then without a condom! as its not going to cover against std's

if they are condom people they will still wear one, if they are not i dont think the contraceptive part is that much of a worry to them and would still probs sleep with the guy anyways if thats what they wanted bareback sex

now guy could forget if in a relationship, but if you think of it another way in relationships could be good as both could be on it for extra safety.

but its not a game changer i dont think if it come around, just something a man could do instead of his mrs if the pill/injection etc was causing her problems like it does for some!

Wouldn't make a blind bit of difference really. A contraceptive pill/injection isn't going to stop the chance of an STD infection, so you still need a condom - so you may as well not take the pill.

I mean, I suppose you could use both, but that seems a bit overkill really

As someone from here once told me: nobody likes using condoms, but going without really isn't an option

for sex with a regular partner? well then yes, you could trust a guy to take the pill. A lot.

I think its good for couples... but for singles it isn't... i would guess there would be a spike in STD's with its introduction.

I recon guys would remember to take it if you put it next to the remote of stuck them to a wank mag...

But honestly using all contraceptions possible would help, some may misuse and fool females trust.. but thats with anything in life...
