On my profile, I like to think that it is honest and open.

Now I'm well aware there are a high percentage of men cheating on this site, and also I'm aware a high percentage of women/couples tar all men with the same brush, but I'd hoped by being open and honest I would show I'm not one of them guys.....

I've lost count of the replys I've had calling me a cheat, a lying bastards and an arsehole.....

Anyone else in a similar boat to me??

and what brush are people being tared with?

people will only tar you with something if they believe it to be correct.

You know, two simple changes would wipe out most accusations of cheating you get:

Put your girlfriend's name on your profile, and have her do the same

that way people can check, or at least see that she's here too, so you're not cheating.

Then again, the type of person who would accuse you of being dishonest without any evidence isn't the type of person you should be pandering to.

those that send you hateful messages just make themselves easy to avoid. this is the real world, and people are here for all sorts of reasons, yours as valid as any's

Well we have a couples profile on here that we have had for 3years, but we don't advertise the name on our single profiles because we get bombarded with single men asking to meet.... If however anyone asks after we have chatted for a while, we tell them that name.

I'm a married guy having fun with his wife's permission so get where you're coming from.

However...

I have not had any of the abuse you seem to have experienced. The most I have had is something like...

"you're married so thanks but no thanks"

This is hardly abusive. I should count myself lucky by what you have experienced.

Either do more to prove you're genuine - as suggested above have your gf reference you and vice-versa - or just get over the fact that some people are going to be funny with you.

I'm with Charax on this one....though I'd never judge on whether someone's meeting without their OH's knowledge, I much prefer honesty (not saying you're lying) but your profile doesn't make me think "coupled up bloke, him and missus happy to play alone"
