Meets and distance!!!

Under normal circumstances, I travel on business across the UK and would be a lot easier to meet with someone I have connected with, however COVID has put the brakes on that for now.

So was just wondering what's the furthest you have travelled or someone has travelled for you to meet?

Was it worth your time?

Was it everything you expected?

I used to fly from Newcastle to St Albans (think it was Stansted I used to land at) to see a guy. We would have a wild weekend and then I would fly home.

Had a guy, who was French and who I had met in Portugal on holiday, fly into Newcastle from Cannes to see me again. He stayed a few days before going back. Does that count too?

Someone that I see from time to time drives around 50 miles. I don’t travel and that’s about my limit to have someone come to me. I’d be wary of having someone travel far for a first meet as it could create pressure.

We almost drove for 4 hours to spend a naughty weekend on a couples farm but they pulled out last minute. On average we drive for 1.5 hours max. Good meets and lasting friendships are very hard to find on here, especially local.
