Normally I would say the closest hotel to the action...but because there is no action at the moment is pick the quietest one and get a good night's sleep.

We stayed in the one opposite the castle on princes street, room was as with any other, ok bar (not that you will use it) and nice views of the castle at breakfast

I stayed in the one near the airport a few years ago .. it’s was ok but a distance outside the city but u can get a tram right outside to the city

There are loads of them in several locations across. Just depends on what you're in Edinburgh for. It's not such a big city - easy enough to get around.

There's 50 open but only for essential workers and for funerals, stuff like that.
