Picture requests

Hi all,

Just thought I would put something out there to see what your thoughts are.

Even though I have been a member of this site for a while now, I am still extremely new to this.

I see on a lot of profiles the request for pictures, or something like "no face pic no reply".

Now these are couples/individuals actually looking for people.

They normally have no face pic except maybe in friends only but also state do not send friend requests until we know each other.

Now I for one have quite a high profile job and meet a lot of people both in Essex and London (all areas of the city) so have got to know a lot of people from all walks of life.

Because of this I am extremely nervous about sending out a face pic because at the end of the day, once sent, it cannot be undone and then I'm guessing once you have sent one, that many simply receive a reply saying no thanks, so then you have the comfort of knowing your identity has been revealed and the person who requested still remains a anonymous.

If there was some sort of Escro picture policy in order, would people feel more at ease?

For those that don't know, Escro is where a middle party, in this case FabSwingers will hold both parties facial pictures and pass them on regardless of whether a meet happens after.

I just think that maybe if someone requests access to your personal pictures then they you would immediately be granted access to theirs.

And if there was a policy put in place where you had to have a clear face pic in your private albums and once requested, the album's would remain uneditable for 12 hours and open to the requested parties for the same amount of time?

I know this is bit of a long winded post but hope those of you that have read it understand where I'm coming from?

Just wondered what other members thoughts are?

Hope everyone is staying safe.

Don't send one until you receive one.

Extremely simple.

I totally agree, but if I don't send one until I receive one then they are in the same boat and have to trust I will send one back!

Maybe there should be a facial picture bank somewhere and when a face pic is requested it automatically sends out to both parties ??

I would simply not message those who say "no face picture - no reply".

There are plenty of others to choose from.

I think I will, maybe meeting in neutral territory with no expectations is the way forward, beach, club, spa ??

Roll on this all ending, appreciate your input.

That's probably the sensible thing to do, auto remove is good although I'm sure screen shots are widely used.

If you're so extremely worried that someone might take a screenshot of your face and circle it around the internet - perhaps meeting strangers online is not for you

I agree as a single man. Often profiles state no face no responce. Yet the profiles don't have a face Pic.

It can be frustrating.

your job is extremely important to you so if being recognised by someone here means the end of it I'd certainly not consider it its very likely someone will know you is it worth it?

It wouldn't mean the end of it, it's just a case of I think I would trust it more if one party receives a picture, both should.

Maybe clubs and parties would work better for me so it's the first facial impression that initiates the contact ??

They frustrate and also infuriate me! It makes no sense that they request a face pic but not even willing to have any sort of photo of themselves showing. I now have no time for them.

Like many have said. Happy to swap face pics after a few swapped messages and know that we have some common connection.
