Looked nothing like their picture. What excuse did you make or did you just go ahead with the meet.

Not on here, but on a dating site. His photo was him skydiving, and he looked a bit odd but I put it down to the perspective.

He didn't think to mention he had disproportionate dwarfism and was 4'6".

He told me that nobody would meet him if he was up-front about it, but to my mind at least you would know up-front rather than wasting time with someone who will never want to sleep with you. It was one of the most uncomfortable dates I've ever been on.

Other than that I've had the normal heavily airbrushed pics or face photos from 15 years ago, but nothing too outrageous.

Chatted with a tall blonde on Pof. She suggested a coffee next morning, all agreed, met near the local Morrison’s, texted her, she said she was on her way out from the checkout.

2 mins later a short chubby Chinese woman walks up to me with a trolley full of shopping asking if I’d help her into the car with it before we walk to M&S for that coffee.....

We met with a couple whilst on holiday in Cornwall. Nothing like their photos, smoked constantly, probably twenty years older than stated.

We had a drink with them, finished the evening and politely declined their next meet offer.

We’ll not be doing that again...

On a dating site yes, it wasn’t a different person but pictures had been severely edited. I made no excuse.. finished the date and just replied less until she got the hint

don’t have the heart to call someone out on something like that lool

Never been catfished, the people who turn up are always the ones on the photos. The photos might have been several years and several stone ago in one or two cases

Thats hilarious. I went on pof date and she was thin tattooed and pierced in her pictures but when i went to pick her up, this women jumped into the car looking like she ate her last two dates. I could only identify her by her lip piercing.lol

Reminds me of a story a friend of mine told me a few months ago.

Similar thing, but a vanilla date and she had not noticed how every pic was of him sat down or waist upwards. Now I’m a short ar5e anyway, but she reckons I would have towered over him, and more importantly, her ‘type’ is the taller, muscled, thick set specimen of a guy. Needless to say, she never saw him for a second time

After my marriage ended I dated a guy who I thought was 45 (I was 39).

He had 2 young teen boys and a couple of daughters from another relationship

When I met them they were not far off my age !

He had 100% lied to me and was in fact 56

It wasn’t the age that bothered me, he was gym fit etc but it was the fact he had lied to me that made me end it.
