we spend a lot of time in west yorks due to work and family, the north west and midlands seem to be full of good clubs so why not one of the biggest hotspots and catchement areas in the uk? a and gs failed simply because of the amateurish way it was run and please dont mention that dump isis, west yorks is crying out for a decent club

I agree. I like Isis but it's not even in the same bracket as places like Partners and Chams. Unfortunately the Huddersfield one shut down last year (not long after I visited! Hmmmm...) and isn't going to re-open.

There was talk of someone opening one in Bradford not long ago but that seems to have died off now. Shame.

There is Cocoaflex in Armley, but thats more of a regular houseparty.

Let me know if you hear anything about a new club please!!!

village between York and Hull

We went to a place in Hull that is hoping to open as a club, I personally think it will happen, Coco flex is a house party but charges more than most clubs!!

To be honest we seriously looked into opening a club but to be honest in these economic times it would be financial suicide.

I do have a friend that owns a club it is only a side line and just does not make decent money. One of the biggest problems is never knowing how many will turn up. The well established clubs do ok but the honest truth there is just not enough money in it.

I would agree, that if a club is a city area, manchester leeds, etc then the pull of swingers is easier to get than if your club hour drive or so from main towns.

If the club is going to be in Hull city centre, that be intersting to see where hope not the old town, where the gay sauna was.

Even the established clubs seem to be quieter right now so I understand why there isn't a large number of new clubs. A friend told me swingers move about, & I think she is right,

I myself, have an established club within half an hour, and yet drive hours up to partners and over to chams,

In the summer I dont mind as much but in the winter the a42/a38 are horrible roads & we all know whats happened to the cost of petrol.

I've never had so many house party invites as are coming in now, but even then the forum posts show that the numbers can be hit and miss

I'm actually trying to plan on heading down to heathrow to try a club, but I wouldnt even consider doing that on a regular bases.

Regardless of the location (Which we would agree is a key factor) there is no point opening a new club unless your going to offer something that no one else is doing within an hours drive of you and ideally you also need to offer something that is better than anyone else within two hours drive of your location.

Being near a major population center that doesn't have a club already would be a good start, but even then the club should be aiming for European standards (Why should we aim for anything less?) The problem there is to do so, your start up capital has to be pretty high, you have to really know what your doing and you have to get the club right in the first four weeks, if you don't then the chances of you closing down in the first year would be extremely high.
