For me its a horrifying thought that I try to put to the back of my mind. But I just can't shake the thought that post Covid19 there may be a period of time in which kissing may be considered a high risk activity.

Just days before the lockdown I had a social with a couple. Normally it would end with a get to know you kiss or snog so although there was a lot of flrting I made no attempt to kiss the sexy wife. Is this the shape of things to come?

What do you think?

You are assuming Corona requires missing to transmit. It might be airborn and carried in breath or particulate carried in cough and sneezing. In addition, the virus can potentially survive outside the body on surfaces for unknown durations.

I suggest gaffer tape and two bottles of spray on TCP.

I think no meets would be better than just kissing .

If you are going to meet someone for sex after restrictions are lifted then you may as well kiss them.

Yes they are called social meets. But where will you meet them? Pubs, cafes and clubs will be the lady places to open for fear of escalating round 2

Would imagine if meeting after lockdown for any sort of play then kissing adds little more risk than anything else

Kissing is probably no more risky than any other close encounter. I assume that's why we're currently observing social distancing. Once that's no longer necessary I'm sure it'll be ok

Clingfilm, or gaffer tape as the guy above suggested.

Interesting feedback thanks everyone. The variety in responses actually confirms what I suspected. Regardless of where my mind is as an individual in the months to come. Even after the lockdown it looks like Covid-19 is going to have an impact on peoples mindset.

When social distancing is relaxed some won't meet, some will. Pretty sure those that choose to meet will be kissing. People have always took their own varying risks of catching something by swinging and will carry on.

In all honesty I believe the ‘seasoned’ swingers amongst us will stick to meeting a few people we know well and trust for a while. I know several chaps who I know would absolutely let me know if they might have come into contact with covid and Know I’d share the same information. I know it’s not 100% safe just as non monogamous sex never has been and never will be - but until a vaccine is available then I’d suggest Covid would be ‘dealt with’ by swingers in the same way as an STI - and the same precautionary measures taken re trust/knowledge of sexual partner etc.

Covid won’t be an end to swinging (or kissing - as sex without kissing is pointless imo) - but for the more cautious amongst us it will be another hurdle/consideration I think! X
