Relationship terminology

We're new to swinging in the sense that this is our first venture onto a public site looking for sex partners. One thing that's a but of a minefield is terminology of all the various types of open relationships and what the term means for the dynamic. I know a lot of these terms aren't exactly in the dictionary but can anyone please clarify what they mean?

Cuckold - guy with a hotwife? Guys that gets humiliated by his wife fucking others? Is there always a degradation aspect?

Hotwife - wife allowed to sleep with others? Does that automatically make the husband a cuck?

Slutwife - promiscuous wife playing alone? Or same as hotwife?

Bull - man that fucks wives?

Fuck buddies - longer term relationship but sex meets only, nothing else?

Friends with benefits - friends with sex, but long term? A non sexual component to the relationship?

Triad - 3 way relationship, when does fwb with a couple become this?

Sub/Dom - or is it Domme? Dom forces the sub? When is this master and slave?

Switch - happy to be a sub or dom?

Sissy - guy that's like to be dominated by woman? Do they crossdress?

Crossdresser - also a sissy?

Master/Slave - how does this relate to sub/dom?

Playing couple - only play with other couples?

Group & gangbang - what's the difference?

Cumslut - promiscuous wife or woman that plays bareback?

BDSM and S&M - difference? What are the grades of BDSM?

Sorry for sounding noobish here. But they are a few terms, and they can be interpreted differently, or overlap, and when does one dynamic turn into another?

There are probably other terms I've forgotten too?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It's probably best to avoid using them to save confusion and just tell people about your dynamic

Group sex and gangbang can be used interchangeably but group to me normally implies a group of people where a gangbang is more 1 woman with loads of guys as opposed to a group of people. An orgy is normally lots of couples and a few singles.

Cumslut to me doesnt equal bareback just a love of cum...

To be fair there is lots of those terms that have such a wide variety of meanings that you cant define them very easy. Cuckhold for instance doesnt have to include humiliation.

Thanks for the replies so far. Yes the fact that some of these terms can have different meanings is probably the source of some of our confusion.

To focus on our dynamic - I play alone with hubby's permission (so hotwife?). There is no humiliation or degradation involved or intended, so is he a cuck or not? I want lots of casual partners as well as some regulars (slutwife?). Will my regulars be fuck buddies? I always prefer partners to finish inside and I love heavy cummers (cumslut?). I'm also interested in partners using a reasonable degree of consentual force, spanking, choking, hair pulling, slapping me, but not serious pain or humiliation (so sub after a dom?). Is that light BDSM, just BDSM?

I think you've got a pretty good grasp of things. You are a hotwife and your husband is not a cuck. You are into light bdsm.

Can't really tell from what you've said if you are a sub or not. That's like a permanent role, rather than an occasional preference. You might just like to sub (rather than *be* a sub) or bottom. Or you may like to switch.

Sounds about right, and no he's not a cuck, just a lucky guy if you're both getting what you want out of it.

Definitely don’t assume that others know the terms so you’re better off talking things through

GB here - I'm very attracted to sluts, so I enjoy Jess going out and sleeping around lots. She gets the social aspect and lots of different sex. So it's very much win-win for us!

I’m a cuck and my wife is a Hotwife, in that she is free to enjoy the company of other guys whenever she chooses too

That could be a coffee or a glass of wine and back to his for a good fucking, there’s no humiliation in that for me, it’s just allowing her the the freedom to enjoy herself as we both have different sexual needs

So are you a cuck then? Like Jess it sounds like she's just sexually free from the marriage.
