With us all having a little more time on our hands is it too much to ask people not to be ignorant and rude on here?

Personally I only message people my profile matches, but even still some messages are deleted or read and not replied to

Is it really asking too much for a "no thanks"??

I get far too many messages a day to even say no thanks... Heard site rules is no answer means not interested. I do get afew men who just continually send message after message even though I didn't reply.

There are different values on here. The FAQ’s on the site, which I’m sure you have read, because it would be quite ignorant of you not to, state that not replying is a no thanks.

It's not rude not to reply.

Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you should assume they aren't interested.

If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message?

Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?

It's not rude or ignorant not to reply, site rules state that you should take a lack of reply as a "no thank you" If I replied to every message I get, I'd be here all day.

Unfortunately, just because you feel your profile matches what someone is looking for, doesn't mean they'll be interested and regardless of how you feel they don't owe you a response.

If it bothers you, fab might not be the best place to spend your time.

Many do not reply, many look at a profile without even opening the message, I don’t think either are rudeness in a virtual world, I can think of many responses that could be rude!

As said in the FAQ’s we don’t have a rule to respond to all.

To put it into context OP, on a slow week I can get a couple of hundred messages. There are people who get a lot more than that.

I don't have the time to respond to every single one so I only reply to the ones I'm interested in.

Site rules advise "no reply is a no thanks".

It's not rude or ignorant.

We only just joined last month and we’ve had several arseholes who won’t take no for an answer and just send abuse when we give a gentle “no thanks”. It’s easier to not answer them and if they persist block them instead.

Sorry mate, but not reading/answering is the only way to stay sane on here.

Who can say why you don't get replies.

It "might" be your username.

It "might" be your biog.

It "might" be your profile pics.

When you join the site you get a list of pointers! One clearly states that if you don't get a reply, take that as your reply. Its also on the FAQ section as others have said. Just move on!

Do you reply to all the unsolicited garbage, begging letters and adverts that are pushed through your letter box every day? Probably not, and I'm sure you don't consider that you're being rude and ignorant in not replying. So perhaps your values are not that different after all.

It might not seem it as a guy on here but I get a reasonable amount of messages; most of which I now ignore or not reply to.

As with others, I used to make it a point to reply to every message even with a “thanks but no thanks - wish you well on your search” kind. The comebacks, insults and begging made me decide to then only acknowledge the messages that interested me.

So conversely, the rudeness is often more about the initial sender, whose ego has been dented by a knock back, than the recipient.

What is the point of replying to messages like "how are you""how's it going" if you have no interest in the sender?

Even though we have stated on our profile that we are not interested in single guy's we still get messages and winks galore, is it rude to not respond? No, it's rude to send an unwanted message!

If someone has clearly constructed a decent message and made an effort then we would afford the courtesy of a reply but site rules imply that a no reply is to be taken as not interested.

Get over yourself and your morals/standards, as people have already pointed out, your poor wife may not agree with your alleged moral code.

We have a clear message on our profile that explains why it's pointless messaging us.

Do people still message? Yep.

Do you reply to every bit of junk mail that comes through your letterbox OP, whether it's for a product or service that you'd never be interested in, may need one day or are actively looking for....or does some of it end up going straight in the recycling box?

I'd drop the sense of entitlement if I were you. Your username will automatically put people off and delete your message without reading.

Thing is there are thousands, and I mean thousands of single, fit as fuck men on here. If you're looking for drama free nsa sex who do you pick? Single, able to accommodate, reliable or married, meet in a hotel you're likely to be sat in alone as wife needs taking to Tesco? No brainer really.

My profile is hidden as personally I don't have time to meet. I have a partner at home, three children, six grandchildren, a close circle of friends, two sisters and i work full time.

Yet at least once a week I get a message asking to meet.

Get over yourself!
