And why would something that is of no interest to someone have to be repulsive, rather than being neutrally indifferent? I don't like certain cars, clothes or countries for holidays, but they don't incite intense disgust, or anything like that. Your choice of words suggests your tastes, but cannot be generalised to the wider population, except that was how in past times many men in public used to talk about bi, gay sex etc. If cock sucking had ever come up as a conversation in a pub, many of them would have said almost the same.

Sad that our public selves and private selves are somewhat different to each other, suggesting almost shame etc, that's culturally influenced.

As for people being more open now, I think social influence has finally allowed more people to develop greater honesty with themselves, as well as with others.
