"Yoga in your garden? I would love to enjoy this but I find it a bit boring, however it is very good for your joints and flexibility. " This is something I definitely wouldn't do in the garden but was thinking of giving it a go in the living room after everyone has gone to sleep. I imagine it doesn't make too much noise lol

"Hi all, does anyone have any ideas for gentle exercise I could do while also getting some fresh air? My daily exercise used to be built into my commute but obviously I don't have that anymore. Everyone seems to be going for strolls but I don't like walking around aimlessly, I find it really boring. I also don't like the idea of exercising in the garden where my neighbours/other members of my household can see me ![]() Buy an audiobook- Ethical Slut and walk around aimlessly while listening. It would up your pace and won’t be boring believe me ![]() ![]()

"Instead of walking aimlessly, maybe walk with purpose? Is there a road on a bit of an incline you could hoy it up at your own pace. Great to get the heart rate going. Cycling. Wear some headphones when out. Great to get yourself lost in music or a podcast and that can alleviate the 'boredom' of walking. Bodyweight squats in the privacy of your own home. " No I live in the suburbs and everything is flat. I've tried walking before and I just get bored after a few minutes and go back home. I would absolutely love to cycle! I used to cycle all the time when I was a kid, almost every single day. Unfortunately I got into a really bad accident that resulted in me being in a cast for 6 weeks and a subsequent cycle/rollerskating ban (I used to rollerskate too) by my parents as they were scared I'd hurt myself again. Since then every time I've tried getting on a bike I've just keeled right over ![]() ![]()

"I walk with music. It is aimless but I don't care if I've got music. Or an audiobook or podcast" Trust me I've tried music, I still get bored. Especially as there is nothing to look at in my area. Audio books and podcasts just annoy me, I can't stand the sound of people continuously talking in my ear

I normally don't dig walking as exercise but if I don't get out of my flat I go slightly spare.

This is why I want to try and find something fun that I'll actually stick to or else I won't end up getting fresh air for the whole of lockdown ![]()

"Like others have suggested jump on YouTube then, there's a myriad of options and ideas available to you on there. And most importantly try and develop a positive mindset. Think about all the things you can do rather than focus on what you can't. " I'm not opposed to YouTube at all and already follow a dance channel whose workouts I sometimes do, but only in my living room after everyone has gone to bed. I wanted ideas for outdoor exercise specifically to force myself to go out and get some air.

"Ah ok I hear you. But not wanting to walk, cycle or run anywhere does seem to limit your options? " Yeah I know... Which is why I asked on here in the hope that someone had some amazing out of the box idea haha. I know I am being super difficult don't worry, thanks anyway ![]()

"You say you have to wait until everyone is in bed to do things. So, do you live with your kids? Take them out for a walk with you. Me and my 14 year old have had some lovely chats while with been out ![]() No, I live with my parents who make me feel super self conscious and I know will make comments if I exercise in front of them. It's just not even worth trying and getting myself worked up and arguing with them/letting them destroy my confidence. It's a whole thing lol, trust me it's just easier if I do this away from them

Seems walking is your only option, it's not that boring really, you've got it see it as your chance to go out on (hopefully) a nice day. It really helps lift your spirits ![]() ![]() ![]()

"Many should try pelvic floor exercises!! ![]() Rude. Clearly you are having a bad day. OP definitely try YouTube or do you have space in your room maybe for a small exercise machine. Like the pedal ones that you can do sitting anywhere? ![]()

For example crochet, puzzles, baking, arts and crafts, computer programming, playing guitar etc. I don't tend to get bored easily and am finding it easy to fill my days at home which is why I never really think to myself that I need to go out and do something. I need something that'll get my arse actually wanting to go outside!
