In my experience I've been able to tone down my look and pass with ease in public

I'm not TG, but my everyday look is somewhat androgynous { I'm 5ft 8 tall and have natural medium length 'bobbed' hair }. I go to meets using public transport and wear make-up { reasonably heavy, but stopping short of drag }.I wear trousers and flat shoes { changing to distinctly fem looking clothes when I arrive }. The meets I have are mostly be in central London { and the suburbs on occasion }. I rarely attract an eyebrow let alone a comment
