Sending messages just now

Hi just want other's thoughts on this.

I know that quite rightly that no one should be planning meetings right now or indeed contacting anyone with view to setting up meetings. I have not sent any messages for last 5 weeks.

However just wondering are others still sending messages to people whose profile they really like, just with view of chatting, not sure what current etiquette is on making any kind of contact.

There's certainly nothing wrong with sending messages and chatting as normal if you're not looking to meet now.

However we're definitely receiving more messages than usual from single guys in particular now, and we're sure it's the same for other couples and single women too, so if anything it's probably a bit harder to grab people's attention now

Would agree with above that it's good to chat normal with folks just now as some will be glad of it

I am just taking the opportunity to have random chats. If all they can manage is sex chat I just block.

It’s good to make fab friends even if some of them remain just or mostly virtual. It’s nice to have the time to do so for a while

Still chatting here to friends and making new connections. This lockdown will end sooner or later so why not?

Plus it gives time to get to know someone a little better through messaging etc before meets are allowed again

Thanks for all the feedback, i guess if i see someone who's profile catches my eye it is okay to send them a message letting them know i am interested .

Realistically it doesn't look as though anyone should even contemplate meeting till Autumn at earliest , maybe even longer depending on how things go.
