Do "erotic" first messages ever work?

Personally I'd rather have a bland "hi, how are you" for a first message from a guy than have some poor attempt at writing porn.

My question is: has this approach ever worked? Or do others find it as big a turn off?

I tend not to use that approach myself- it seems like bad manners and more so a highly risky strategy for meeting folks. However , would love it if a woman sent me a message stating all the things she wanted to do to me . Does that make me a hypocrite ?

For me I just see it as being a bit desperate or trying too hard it doesn't impress me I tend to just laugh at them and hardly respond to them. Especially when they are full of ideas that I have stated in profile I'm not into so you know its a cut and paste message sent to 50 other women

I think its generally a cut and paste job thats sent out to everyone

Ive been sent some very bad attempts at erotic literature,but they always raise a smile and theres possibly people out there that enjoy receiving stuff like that

I don't mind if its from someone I know but from a stranger that has no idea about me its a bit odd

no you should always at least chat to them a bit and establish and interest, i find alot of ladies like their mind to be sexy stimulated, but if you lead in with it their mind wont be open to it, and i think you got to at least do it in a sexy way that grips them and makes them visualise and want it rather than just talking to them full on dirty as i dont find that gets many womens minds going unless they really into that and comfortable with you in that way x

I got a message saying how he would first kiss me and slowly work his way around my erogenous zones and how he'd fuck me blah blah blah... it was very explicit and if it had been part of an on going chat then it might have been taken as intended... sadly his cocky ness and description was only worthy of a delete

Before I had pictures available I got several messages like this with the line that my pictures are great. People really do like a silhouette on here.
