I've had messages like this (almost always expecting I'll meet them for the first time at the airport) and I treat it as no different to offering money for sex. Except I'm potentially stuck alone with a stranger for awhile, adding an extra creepy or scary element to it.

Applying common sense, you'd have to get to know them first. I don't indulge in fuck n go, or stranger sex. The OP has stated he has taken "friends" in the past.
