Something needs to happen. It’s unfair on the people who have been home for weeks. Sticking to the rules.

Just seen the latest 'advert' (for want of a better word) detailing government guidelines on reasons to leave home and noticed that exercise is no longer being mentioned.

To be fair, I'm hardly surprised as I've seen this coming for the past fortnight

NW London

Against it. I don't think it will make any difference to the virus statistics and will create a lot of other problems.

Plus it will be virtually unenforceable.

I saw a report that said we need 75% or above for the social distancing to have a positive effect . We are around 82% so on track to flatten the curve , yes I agree some are selfish by socialising , but fingers crossed and think positive ! Every day is a day closer ....

I thought the same about people going out to parks and stuff but then I saw on the news the high rise flats that every city has.Could you imagine how they feel stuck in one of them 24-7,I don't think I could.ive got a house and gardens and I'm still going stir crazy.I drove down the promenade today lots of ppl out walking and on bikes but the majority of ppl was in couples or couples with kids all keeping the personal spaces.

I agree. I’ve been home for 2 weeks. Self employed, no income, rented flat

Then you look out and nobody else seems to care and just carries on regardless

Yes but only food shops, food distribution and farms should be open. Everything else should close. Millions of businesses are still operating. Also Food shops should no longer restock anything other than food.

So how are people going to cope if they need to buy toiletries or baby good or clean the house?!

Those are all types of essential products, strangely enough

It won't help either way. There is going to be second and third waves of this no matter how strict they get with the lockdown. Gonna spread no matter what we do

ST. AUSTELL, CORNWALL

The people who are causing the problem should be put in total lockdown.

We should close down all the amenity companies too. I mean who even needs electric or water

Yes where do you think the money is going to come from to pay for 100a of billions being spent a week?

Can’t just stop the economy for 3 months then wonder why the country is totally fucked in a years time. As long as companies are adhering to the guidelines in place.

New Ferry, wirral in stockings and sussies

people need fresh air and exercise, mental health is a real issue with people isolating, total lockdown will see a large increase in suicides, all well and good people with decent homes and gardens advocating this but what about the very many in highrise flats, bedsits etc?
