Are winks?

Just used as an ego boost??

The reason i ask is, i got 3 winks earlier, (woohoo, lucky me, lol), but when i sent a msg to the gals who winked at me to thank them and (hopefully) start up a conversation, they were deleted!!

So, my question is, why send winks in the first place when they have no intention of chatting? Anyone else had this done?

Have to say never had that many winks...so well done.

As for deletions...it happens...

I was talking to a couple over the last few days...put them on my hotlist so I could keep in contact...seen that they were on line...went to send a message and I am blocked, nevermind deleted...wtf...made me laugh...

Perhaps it was meant as a passing compliment...u know kinda saying nice etc.... But theres some reason a meet wud not happen....distance or summat... maybe ya shud be flattered

I was flattered, lol, and i didn't exactly ask for meet with my first msg to them! But hey ho, each to their own eh! Lol.

Just thanked them for the wink, how they are today and if they fancied a chat sometime to see if we got on! I wasn't cheeky or too pushy or nothing! Lol,

we send winks to show we are interested, or find your profile atractive.

if you wink in kind we will start messageing, thats how we would expect others to do it.

if not then fine, we dont lose any sleep over it.

Winks can sometimes lead to a meet although more often than not they are just a method fakers use to drum up some action on here. Same as Meets Today from people with no verifications.

However when the profile looks genuine it's worth a detailed reply...

sometimes i wink beacuse too lazy/not feeling inspired enough to write an interesting email

sometimes i wink because i like their profile but not sure if they would be interested in me

sometimes i wink bacause I really liked their profile even though I now we arent compatible

I think a lot of people just bulk delete winks without looking at them - I certainly do

People use the tools on here indifferent ways which can cause confusion lol
