"I've recently developed strong feelings for my ex mother-in-law after a recent lengthy social encounter. She confessed her feelings for me and after thinking about our conversation I think I may have developed feelings for her. She's 32 years my senior and has discussed her sexual needs with me and her understanding of our different sex drives and is "willing to let me see other women". I want to tell her I'm bisexual but concerned how she might react. Is this a total no-goer? Any help greatly appreciated" Absolutely a no-go. If this isn't a made up story (which I expect it is) then you should realise the damaging implications this will have on the relationship between your ex and her mother.

She is his ex...why does she still have any say in who he dates?" I'm thinking down the same line as you with the children, but about the family as a whole. If this guy were to get with the mother, the whole family might break up over it and particularly if there are dependent kids in the middle of it it turns into a bit of a general mess. Admittedly if my dad ran off with my ex he get a high five rather than resentment, but i'm more open minded than most :P

"If I recall correctly a father in law can marry his sons ex/widow but a mother in law can't... Not sure why!" possibly Biblical, as the father in law would be expected to provide for the widow.
