As a responsible adult, it is your job to provide a secure environment for your family.

If you are uncertain about door security measures, consult store staff appropriately or book someone with appropriate skills and knowledge to fix locks etc

It's also easy to speak with people, to dictate boundaries, a normal job for parents and guardians.
