I always think its a bit unfair to ask a partner to surprise you with something like this. The potential for things to go wrong is fairly high.

Obviously you know your wife op and can make an educated guess about what she'd enjoy doing. What direction do you think she'd want the surprise to go in?

. Not much of a surprise though.

What about sending her out for an hour or two with a friend for coffee. While she's gone make your bedroom a warm and inviting boudoir with candles (led in case if flailing arms), flowers and soft music. A bottle of champagne on ice in the corner. When you know she's due home run a hot bath, pour her some champagne and let her relax while you cook a simple but tasty meal that you can enjoy together in your bedroom. After you've finished give her a lovely long relaxed massage and see how things develop from there.

I'd say a bit more communication & clarification is probably needed here. If she's imagining a romantic dinner for two, & you surprise her with a sex party, it could all go horribly wrong!
