Why is it you can see when you’re on a block list but you cant see if you’re on a hotlist?

I tried to look at the profile of an OP for a thread to find i’d been blocked. I’d never spoken to the blocker but there i was blocked.

So as asked above why does a profile show you’ve been blocked but not that you’ve been hotlisted.

Would it encourage more interactions and meets if you knew you were on a persons hotlist?

I find this all the time, I'm blocked by loads of people

I use my hotlist as a way to avoid certain people sometimes do I wouldn't want them to know they are there lol.

There are potentially many reasons why people prevent scrutiny or contact, including nothing that's critical of anyone else.

If people knew their hotlists were public, they would use them differently. They're currently used as aides memoire, action plans etc but their private nature supports users adding others that they'd often prefer discretion over.

There are possibly good reasons for having private entries and, optionally, some entries that could be set for mutual disclosure.

Have you tried dating apps? They tell you when people have indicated they like you too.

On here, the hotlist is like a note pad to remember people you like but aren’t ready to tell necessarily.

I block women for a whole number of different reasons. Usually it's because the profile says "BBC" in it, or the word "daddy" or something. I wouldn't necessarily have to have spoken with them.

The hotlist though!!! No! I don't want these ladies knowing that I want their bodies!!! If I do, I'll let them know.
