Can I ask how do you ladies deal with pressure from guys on here?

It’s becoming more pressurising for me on here and I just need some tips on dealing with it all.

Thank you

Take a step back, stop messaging for a bit. Don't agree anything you aren't comfortable with. Ultimately cut off the contact if you can bring it back under control.

I’m not a pressure guy at all but still get ignored and/blocked.

I’m guessing you don’t need to feel like you should reply...and if it ever gets too much. Block. Or close the app and do something else for a bit?

Good luck x

Just around the corner

As a man that’s the element of Fab that I really don’t understand. I can’t control if someone wants to meet me, so why do some try?

On a mooch

Take a break and hide your profile.

If from people messaging you to meet, if you want to meet them do it at your pace. If they don’t like that, their problem not yours

You shouldn’t feel under pressure to do anything and that includes responding to messages.

I struggle when messages build up. I hate clutter and see it as site clutter, as bizarre as that may sound.

I've always kept my age windows small and rotate them around e.g 35-40 one week, 41-45 the next week.

I also have a polite cut and paste refusal.

It might help to block all men from messaging and search for yourself.

After having a bit of a break from Fab.

It’s not that which is causing the problem, I can deal with the random messages, I have filters and apparently a boring profile, it’s pressure messages from the same member...

Advice please....

I would just block them... not sure there's much else you can do, if they have that sort of attitude.

Determine what is causing you to react by feeling pressured. When you come on fab, decide whether or not you will engage with the source of the pressure. If it's via messages, don't visit your inbox, or view the total unread. Stick with the parts here that you enjoy. I do this a fair bit. I occasionally post status updates, if I'm focusing on non-inbox stuff.

If I work out specifically what it is, eg a certain way that people communicate, I end it there and then.

I'd decide whether there's any future between them and me. If not, I'd block, possibly after a short goodbye. If I wasn't certain, I'd suspend communicating with them, until I was ready, leaving me in charge.

Look after yourself

Maybe just tell the person how you feel? If it all goes tits up you can always block them and move on.

If they cant take something like 'hey sorry but i feel you maybe be pressuring me a bit can we slow it down a tad' and accept that you may have dodged a bullet there anyway.

Only ever do what you are comfortable doing

Be honest, tell them that they areaking you feel pressurised and that you need them to back off. If they don't then block. If they cannot respect your boundaries, & are making you feel pressured via message, then chances are they will do the same in real life.

Block them.

They're pushy on here then they'll be pushy when you meet them too, so i don't see the point of meeting them or talking to them.

I tell them to stop. If they don't, then we don't interact anymore. It's that easy.

Being on fab isn't mandatory, neither is replying to messages.

Set your criteria and filters. Decide what's "best practice" for you. If it gets too much block single men and go searching yourself.

When visible my profile states I'll not reply to anyone outwith what I'm looking for: I don't...no drama.

Honestly I use it as a kind of filter - if I’m talking to someone and they’re pressuring me, it shows me that they’re not safe to meet. If they can’t take no for an answer or understand boundaries on here, they won’t in real life either and they’re potentially dangerous to meet.

If you mean it’s a man sending you repeated messages when you haven’t replied or have said you’re not interested, it’s not worth feeling pressured over. Save yourself the stress and block them.
