Introduction messages?

So I'm just looking to find out the kind of things people have had success with in terms of first messages and establishing contact.

So many profiles say that they want a well thought out and intelligent first message but what kind of thing does that mean? I'm so nervous of coming across as creepy so wondered what kind of thing people look for?

There and to the left a bit

Thing is there is no magic catch all formula that will work with everyone and what might work for me, may not work for you, even when sent to the same person - so it's about finding what works for you, and the individuals you contact, and more to the point not expecting to get a response each time.

All I would say is be honest, be respectful and considerate, and most importantly be yourself and don't try to be someone/something that you're not.

Also don't forget that most people will look at your profile before even deciding to open a message, so make sure yours is the best it can possibly be and sells you well.

Quite right Mr Gemini.

The main thing - for most of us - is to say something intelligent, rather than the usual, "hi how are you?"

Hate a first contact message thats just a "hi". When we put across the first message we mention something that's on the profile, written or pics. If there isn't much there, ask questios about the interests listed or something that's written, could always say a bit about yourself or profile.

Thanks for the advice guys. Much appreciated.

But just wondering what "something intelligent" means? I never know what to make of that. Hard to sound intelligent when you're trying to be sexy and vice versa. And I don't really know what sounds intelligent in an intro message. So any follow up on that would be great!

Otherwise, thanks again for the advice.

Why do you have to try "to be sexy" why not try just to be "normal" and talk to people as you would in the street - just because the nature of the site is about NSA sex, doesn't mean that sex has to even come into initial messages - it certainly doesn't usually with mine.

As for "something intelligent" that's subjective and can mean different things to different people but generically means something a little more than "Hi, nice tits, fancy a fuck" - just be yourself, send a few words of introduction, why you are writing, what you like about their profile and that you'd be interested in getting to know them better is not a bad way to go.

Also remember that there are other approaches than sending "cold" messages to people - the forums and chat rooms are a great way to spark conversations, likewise clubs and group socials are another option and way to get to know people and get to be known.
