Any suggestions for a discreet hotel in Liverpool where visitors can come and go easily would be greatly appreciated.

Most air b&b are very discreet. But if your looking for a hotel the premier inn is discreet that most because the staff are to busy to notice lol

The Adelphi is pretty discreet. It's got a faded glory about it, but big rooms and it's central. It was also cheaper than the big chains last time I used it

Last time I was in the Adelphi was 2007 for a works do. I went and bought a pair of flip flops from Primark because I couldn't stand to get into the shower barefoot.

There was no light in the bedroom other than the bedside lamp, and in the morning when I opened the curtains I realised that was probably deliberate because everything was filthy, carpet, curtains, bedspread, every single thing had mystery stains on it.

I'm sure it's discreet, but it's not somewhere I'd ever want to stay again.

I tend to stay at the Atlantic tower if I'm looking to meet others in the city centre. It's not as central as the Adelphi, you're on the front at the three graces (half the rooms overlook the Liver Building). It's a Mercure so it's pretty cheap, it's a bit basic but very clean and I've never had any issue with discretion there.

Southport / Ellesmere Port

I use Jury's Inn, near the Arena. It's discreet and reception easily bypassed.

Radisson Blu. It’s a nice hotel. There’s no key card system for the lift, and it’s a big lobby so people don’t really notice guests walking in and out

I had a very nice evening with a couple staying at the liner hotel. No prying eyes or visible reception staff wondering why three people went into the lift together.

When ever I have been to a premier inn, you have needed a key card to get in, on good if you are inviting people to your room as you have to go and meet them.

That's a lot of the hassle, if people need keys to get to use the lift.

2nd time in the last week the adelphi has been mentioned on these forums.

Living where I do, I seriously advise people to avoid it.

The lack of hygiene to one side, the amount of actual deaths there in the last year keeps coroner's paid

No, It is a general city wide agreement.

The adelphi used to be good, Then its owners let it stagnate as it has until now.

with the dawn of social media and bloggers the adelphi has truely fallen from grace.

Put it this way, 40 year ago it was looked at a classy hotel...balls, Shows, Galas....

This year they found 17 used heroin needles and a mice that had mummified.

The Adelphi is an absolute shithole! It's a shame, because back in the day, it was the hotel of choice for high society.

When people ask me where to stay in Liverpool, I often say anywhere but the Adelphi lol

If you want somewhere upmarket, go to the Titanic on Stanley Dock. You can meet people in the beautiful bar/lounge downstairs and take them up to your room. The rooms are HUGE with big massive beds and loads of playspace. The walls are also very thick, so you can make loads of noise and nobody will hear you

Many people go to this hotel for drinks and food, so there is a lot of coming and going; your meet won't come against any scutiny.

I’m staying in the Liverpool Hilton soon, and hoping to find some Fabster fun while I’m there. As with any hotel, just act casual and nobody pays much attention lol

try the L3 apartments in princess dock, 5 mins away from most restaurants, number pad entrance, public car park round the corner and a great choice for the penthouse suites with up to three bedrooms, huge areas, outside terraces, pool tables - excellent for a party!

Titanic is a great hotel!

Thoroughly reccomend it

Mercure or Pullman also great places for discreet meets closer to city centre

I've also met in the holiday inn on lime St. Literally across the road from the mainline station xx

Good luck

You have to use your key now to use the lifts in this one, but yes you can bypass reception once you've checked in.

just been privately messaged and told they got around the problem by waiting for people to open the glass doors then followed them into the lift

Please be aware that some hotels have the policy of no visitors in the room between 11pm and 6/7am. Unless, of course, the visitors are staying in the same hotel. That happened to me and my partner in Ibis Northampton.
