Should height filters on fab be introduced?

Would people use them?

Although it states on my profile a preference for taller guys, people will still message who haven't bothered to read/ignore my preference.

Imho time would be saved on both sides if you could filter out by height.

The trouble would be that people lie about their height more than they already do! Same as the do to get around the age filters ...

I agree though, I think all data should be a filter.

Lots might want someone exactly 40, 5'8", brown eyes, semi-muscular, but won't search smokers, so it makes sense..

Because 'couple' profiles where the female never appears isn't them being found out

The filters we have barely work. I think it wouldn't work

I think that seems fair I’m a short arse and have all the angst that comes with that ... but I don’t want to meet someone that’s going to not be attracted to me because of it ... it’s going to hit my confidence even more and wast both our time. I would like filters to be in place so the people outside your filters don’t even see you in searches and you don’t see them either.

Wish they had full sexuality filters and not just the bicurious/ bisexual option. So include straight and gay

We agree OP, but for the site owners as with all options to filter, it would shine a light on how few options we actually have, therefore increasing the chances of us leaving or seeing less value in the site.

So as it makes no sense to do that, instead they prefer to add videos.

If these kinds of filters were introduced I would suspect a lot more guys would view insoles/elevator shoes an option

I'm not so keen... I'm a very short person... And it would be a shame for people to filter me out

that when meeting in person perhaps would not rule me out. To be fair... If I'm not what they are looking for if there preference isn't for short people I totally get it but I wouldn't want to be passed by because an auto setting is set over my height..

If we have a height filter, we should have a weight filter too. I don't see what's so hard about reading that person's profile and seeing their measurements?

Yes, it's a difficult one. We are both pretty tall and whilst we haven't mentioned a preference on profile, we generally do only look at those nearer our own size. One guy messaging was something like 5'2", that is just never going to work for us.

The site definitely needs to update its filtering options. It's very basic, compared to other types of sites that have been around for a similarly long period.

How users filter and restrict doesn't need to be fully public. And it could offer to restrict people who have made a number of changes to their profile settings, to prevent chancers who try to game others and the service

YES..... and a Body Size or Body Shape filter too!!!

Everyone (including yourself) have preferences right?

(Not being judgemental or anything.... some people like slim, some people like curvy, some people like ample, etc.... same with height).

It’s just a shame for us all that we cannot go on a specific diet to change our height unfortunately.

That's easy to demonstrate, change your search parameters to include single men, then when you do a search imagine for a moment you can't tell whether the profile is male or female from the front, you have to go through and read every one to find out if they're what you're looking for.

If you're not looking for single men but are forced to open every profile from every one who isn't of interest you'll soon see what's so hard.

Most would lie about height just as many do about age on here so pointless, but those who are really that shallow or butch to really worry about height to be wanting a height filter we wouldn’t be interested in meeting anyway....

Filters I would find useful would be to filter out smokers and people over a certain distance (people message from 300 miles away and then say they'll travel for a social, that's never going to really happen is it!

I once travelled 90 miles each way for a social. Someone contacted me said height is not a issue. Never again. Was made to feel like a piece of s**t she just stepped on. But fab is all about experience and learning from them.

Although I have a preference for taller men, I just think of all the fun I’d have missed out on with not so tall men if I’d used a filter to not include them.
