I'm curious, what makes someone read a message - the subject, the first line, attachments, or the profile photo?

I look at the profile and then read the message and then look at attached photos.

We look at the profile first to see if they tick certain boxes, then read the message.

To be fair the message is irrelevant if their profile shows they haven't read ours, we won't bother reading the message as we've already found they're not for us.

We read messages but also look at the profile pics . In reality if the first introduction message is short , unimaginative , excessively crude (we are not prudes but some social etiquette is appreciated ) or clearly they haven’t read our profile then that’s the end before it starts .

I usually look at the profile first, then the message preview. If it’s one word or ‘fancy a fuck’ then I don’t bother to read it. Something that makes me smile/laugh in the title or first sentence is far more likely to get a reply x

Something original. If it's just a hi, someone claiming to be an alpha/Dom/genuine...I just delete it. If they don't mention my name I just assume it's a copy paste and again, delete it. So, make it original and address the person, always helps...make sure to make your profile look good aswell as most people will also look at your profile.
