Slightly different to the other thread on this subject

I hosted a small party at the weekend for a lady and her partner plus a small number of extra guys.

As far as I am aware, all was well and, as the lady and partner were leaving, they said if I verify her they'll do the same for me.

I've completed my part of the bargain, but haven't received one back. I've even messaged them a reminder, and got a reply to say they'd do it last night, but still nothing.

What's the etiquette in this situation? Are veri's to be expected?

Should I leave it be and chalk it up to experience, or should I gently pursue it further?

Agreed.

You have some verifications already so that at least proves you are reliable and genuine.

What will one extra do for your profile?

We don't tend to show all ours, prefer just a sprinkling. It's not that those we have removed are better or worse. Just keeps the profile neat and tidy.

I’m with you on this one. I’ve had a few people recently that have failed to reciprocate (tho have displayed my veri on their wall). Makes me question why.

I do like to get one back as it reminds me who they are and where I met them for further correspondence

In your case I wouldn't get too annoyed just yet... they said they'd do one, but, you know, real life does sometimes get in the way! Think you'll just have to be patient, sending any more reminders might seem a bit desperate.

More generally, not everyone is bothered about giving or receiving veris and obviously, not getting one pales into insignificance if you had a good time anyway.

However, for me, it does come down to basic manners if you've gone to the trouble of writing one for someone who's happy to display it (and therefore potentially gain some benefit from doing so) but who doesn't reciprocate. That always feels a bit off to me.

Leave it be if you have an issue then block them then they can't show it. In reality once you have a couple verifications don't mean as lot so don't worry about it.

It's not always about getting verifications

I'm more about having fun I had a fmfm this weekend,we all said not to worry about verifications and it's quite funny as I put pics up,now loads guys I know are intrigued to know who I met

I've written verifications for lots over the years,even guys have asked for one and not received them back,I don't mind and never question why,as I don't really care
