Hey there, I was just wondering if anyone knows of any trans friendly clothes shops where I could go and try on dresses? I'm based near liverpool. Also if anyone knows where I can find size 11 womens shoes it would be much appreciated.

Btw I cant shop online so that's out of the question

It'll take some courage but any high street shop will be ok, especially the big Primark in Liverpool. I've been in male mode and took some dresses and they honestly couldn't care less.

Obviously it's better when it's not busy, first thing in the morning or later on closer to closing time would be easier for you.

Find a local girl to go with you or a friend you've entrusted with your feminine side for support.

These days shop workers are aware of Trans issues and not to make anyone feel awkward trying and buying clothes.

There are specialist clothes online or Transformation in Manchester but they're a rip off.

Liverpool St. John’s market had some lovely thigh boots for a tenner last time I was in x

Great time of year to buy woman’s clothing as you are “Christmas shopping “

Bring a bag with wrapping paper for added effect x

Appreciate what you say about shopping online but Amazon and Ebay have a lot of what you want. With Ebay you can do click and collect and pick up from your nearest Argos. Or with Amazon you can have your items delivered to an Amazon locker. Just means the parcels won't be delivered to your home

It's discrimination if the shop are not welcoming to you. You're a paying customer so they should make very effort to help.

As for larger footwear some shops do stock a few larger sizes but styles tend to be limited. So like everyone else has said online might be best

Well from my perspective you look very femme already, and whilst it will take initial courage to do it, my suggestion would be to go dressed en femme .... if you dress appropriately you will get away with it. Like I say, it does take initial courage, but once you realise the entire world isn’t looking or pointing at you, you will relax and enjoy it.

I have shopped in female mode many times, in all of the main high street shops and never been treated with anything other than respect as a lady. I have tried on many clothes (half of the fun) and always been directed to changing rooms. These days all staff are trained to respect you as you present and treat you as such .... irrespective of what they may think - the law is also on your side!

Can’t help you with size 11s, but as others have said try lockers on Amazon and other online retailers.

Believe me, once you realise the only fear about going out is only in your own head, you will be come addicted to going out..... I did.

As above, you should be able to try on things in any shop with changing facilities. They might get funny if you go all the time and never buy anything tho!

I think new look may go up to 11. You need a size smaller than usual if you’re wearing heels anyhow.

Just buy online and collect in the store.

Thanks for this, I've brought so many Iron Fist shoes that were 'my size' turned out to be too big. I will try a smaller size now

I'm a size 10 in shoes buy them on line from noo shoes. They do women's styles in mens sizes upto size 13. X

I find that lot of stores don’t have staff at the changing rooms, so it is easy to walk in without your clothes being ‘checked’ by a member of staff.

If you’re worried, take a selection of men’s clothes in as well. It looks then like you maybe are trying the men’s ones for you, and maybe have also picked up some clothes for your wife/gf. Especially easy at this time of year as people will think they’re Christmas pressies x

I've never come across one that cares if you are trans, gay, straight or whatever.

All they are interested in is parting you from your cash.
