In my first marriage I did. It was not a great relationship, I was working away from home and my lover was also married. Neither of us wanted to leave our partners so it worked for both of us.

Eventually the marriage broke up, but not because of the affair.

Poor sod loses his house and all you can argue over is semantics?

I'm not in quite as bad a situation - bought a house 3 years ago with the now ex. I put in all the deposit, stamp duty etc etc but didn't think to protect that money of it ever went tits up.

It's now costing me over 40 grand to get rid....

I've cheated on every partner that has cheated on me, then dumped that partner.

I've also cheated on two partners who haven't cheated on me, one coz he wasn't any good in bed and made no effort to improve that and the other time because he is not sexual with me at all...and i'm looking for someone regular to meet with now.

I've been cheated on, first wife gave me a good old dose of clap for good measure too!

I'm not without blame, I cheated on my second wife a few times, we were in a sexless loveless and violent (on her part) relationship.

It happens and it took me 60 minutes to get wed and 8 years to escape the violence and abuse, being unfaithful, regardless of what anyone may think helped me cope with that life.

Not seeking absolution, just answering the question.

Nope. The thought just doesn't appeal. The guilt, thought of the hurt caused and practically, the effort it would take to conceal it would all be WAY to much to make it worthwhile.

I appreciate folk have different situations though - im very lucky to have someone who makes me happy, so it doesnt occur to me
