Sorry in advance for all that have been here before. But as a newbie I’m finding it difficult to figure out what the system is regarding messages.

You send a message, you get reply, no problem.

Send message, gets deleted, no problem.

Send message, message read, nothing not deleted not replied not even looked at profile.

Send message, not opened even after 2 weeks.

Is there a sort of code that I need to work out.

Thanks to all at Bletchley for helping me crack this new enigma.

Just don't keep looking at your sent items.

Problem solved.

There isn't an absolute answer to your question as everyone is different.

Some people have their settings so it won't show that they have viewed you.

Some people get so many messages that they can't reply to everyone.

Some people will just delete if not interested.

You'll work it out. Just got to be patient and keep trying.

Great Harwood, Blackburn

Some people post on their profile won't reply if not interested. Don't take it personal and keep trying different people.

I the hubby will quickly read a message if it has potential I'll mark it unread so I can look at it with my wife at a later point.

The easy answer is don't look at your sent box or delete your sent messages once sent. That way when you get a reply it's a happy surprise and your original message will still be in the thread.

Unless someone replies positively they are not interested there is no code so don't over think things. The looked at its pointless as 95% of women have that hidden so if they don't reply just move on.

You can see the profile pic and first line of a message without opening it. I never bother deleting messages so lots are left just unopened.

Manchester (she/her)

Delete = no thank you.

No reply = assume nothing.

Delete sent inbox. Reply = pleasant surprise!
