What the etiquette in requesting verifications?

I’ve been on and off here for a while and still have a good relationship with the people I’ve met ... do I just ask “ Can you please verify me please ?? “

If you have met them in person I can't see any reason any polite person you got on with wouldn't have done so already.

I’d say yes. Me and my partner met a lovely lady last night and I just said “shall we verify each other”
