"I would say a cross dresser is more someone that just wears the odd bits of clothing like underwear or dress and that's it like a hairy panty wear type person. A tv would be the person that takes it to the next level that gets smooth n does make up and try's to look as passable as the other sex as possible but doesn't live their life as the opposite sex." Yes since being on this site that has become my understanding. So the interest of honesty and transparency while maintaining the mutual discretion that I assume the majority of people on here practice. Should a bisexual guy that wouldn’t fall into the hairy pantie wearer category however has a diverse, ever-evolving range of interests of which he would be meeting as himself, a male, maintain two profiles? Should they be linked together? I have only just now, this year, started getting to grips with being Bi-sexual, and that’s not due to any issue with acceptance, I am fine with it although also don’t feel the need to shout it from the rooftops.... my parents know, a few close friends and now all you fabbers. My only issue really (which is why is has taken so long to get to grips with it) is am (and I honestly don’t mean to offend anyone and apologise if I have, but it’s the only term I can think of) very much ‘traditionally straight’ as in I have and have never had any desire or interest to have a relationship with a male and am purely attracted to certain males sexually... but I guess if I had used my brain a bit more I should have realised that 6 of the 8 words in bi-sexual are ‘sexual’ lol, it’s kind of self explanatory. Anyway i’m rambling a bit but the reason I asked about having separate profiles but linking them together is I understand the only way to maintain a loving hetro relationship while being able to not spend the rest of my life suppressing part of my sexuality is to find someone like minded and the only way to do that is gonna be complete honesty from day 1

"Apologies for the grammatical errors and missing words, it is getting late though " I would agree with this, thanks Steph xxx I would consider myself TV. I go to great lengths to try to be as feminine as as I can. I dress, act and behave like a woman. I go out shopping dressed ‘en femme’ and enjoy being treated and addressed as the lady I aspire to be. R xx

I do what do because I want to and because I wish to be the best woman I can be. Labels are over rated. Everybody needs a pigeon hole. Well screw that! Be you. Fuck what everybody else thinks. I consider myself a crossdresser because I don't behave or act like a woman.

"Transvestism is the practice of dressing and acting, in a style or manner traditionally associated with the opposite sex. Cross-dressing is the act of wearing items of clothing and other accoutrements commonly associated with the opposite sex within a particular society. Both of these comes from, Wikipedia. Transvestism, from the description is not just dressing but 'acting' in a style or manner, so not just wearing clothes but taking on a female or male persona. Crossdressing however is just wearing of the clothing, a woman wearing a traditional man's suit or a guy wearing a skirt is crossdressing,if he / she isn't acting the part of the opposite sex. For me this is the difference ![]() this sums it up perfectly. I'm much much more than a CD. I go out everywhere as, female both day and night. I look, walk, talk and act the part. I have many very feminine mannerisms. Your basic CD just wants to wear underwear, clothing, stockings and heels because they like the feel of these items. Being a TV means a lot more than that. For me the two are poles apart and much more of a difference than say a TV or TS. It's not rocket science.

The thing to remember though, that while we all chant the 'my profile, my choice' mantra, is that our profiles not only have to reflect our own desires, but also appeal to those whom we desire. An honest profile that simply states you are bi-curious should suffice. If you wish to, you can choose to explain in your profile text the dynamic of your relationships with either sex, but... As we know... Not everyone will read profiles anyway ![]() ![]()

"I'm more confused now I as per my profile name use Crossdresser but equally I dress to look and act as femme as I can. I dislike the transvestite/Tranny word as it has such a negative connotation here in Ireland perhaps it doesn't have the same negativity in the UK." The right wing Newspapers in the UK are big fans of using the Tranny term to deride us, so it is now viewed as hurtful. Most of us hate the word.

Does it have such a negative connotation or is that a rural mindset though? While parts of Ireland may remain cloistered, many areas embrace diversity in all shapes, sizes, and sexes. I think more people are now aware that even within sexuality there is massive diversity, and it tends to be older people who don't understand (but then many of them don't understand how this online interweb thingy or their dvd player works either lol). Fear is often in your own mind.

" We see alot of Irish girls at Leeds First Friday and other trans community social events (non swinger) in the UK, conveniently these take place in cities with large Irish populations (Manchester/Leeds etc) so cheap direct flights are available. I am told There are lots of girls in Eire using social media but very few organised gatherings currently.
