Is anyone using tinder ? Any good , just joined and wondering if it’s worth upgrading and paying for?

Yes, I do tinder but overwhelming with many matches so no need to pay. Also interesting to explore when you get matches while travelling. The different mindset when on the move is more explosive.

I joined it twice. First time I got zero interest. Deleted.

Returned a couple of years later, during which time my photography skills and profile writing ability.

Now I get lots of interest. Same goes for Fab. Only, it mainly comes from the Forum, not rest of Fab.

Had a Tinder woman find out I was bi through her probing questions. She ran a mile, didn't even explain

So I tend to leave most of my meets/dates to Fab.. where it's a little more socially acceptable and understood.. by a smidge.

Have a friend recently join, he isn't a looker but a nice chap, decent personality, reasonable job.

He is inundated, and is either chatting or meeting ladies every night. He uses it socially more than to jump into bed with everyone.

He was married for 20+ years so is early 40s and his biggest complaint is the women are too sexually demanding and aggressive....

We cant wait for Monday's now to get into work and find out about his weekend....

Loved Tinder when I used it. Met some lovely people and had some carefree sex. Used it alongside Fab and weekends over one memorable summer were never boring.

Decent profile better pics and be interesting.

I used it for a while when i didn't have my other half.i did pay for it, because I'm a nosy sort. Paid for subscription does save time. But tinder is 1/3 want sexy time only. 1/3 marriage proposals and final third, who knows as they don't talk.

I found it toxic.

I find it's quite a good site for meeting people, more so than fab. It's true there are some who are what other posters describe as "sexually aggressive", but wtf are you looking for? You're on this site trying meet with people for like minded fun, so what's the problem if you're getting what you want from another site?

Tinder is purely a ‘looks’ win rule.

If you consider yourself good looking, you’ll probably do well.

But, it’s a double edged sword. You have to bring in that initial attraction & then have to be engaging enough that they want to talk to you.

But personally, tinder was great. It’s easier to get laid on tinder than it is on here....

I think it’s very age related. Just for fun I set the age range from 18 to 35, different world in terms of the girls profile photos- very suggestive nearly all of them. My age group and profiles that say “I love my kids and grandkids, they are my world “, not so enticing.

I used a bit when I was single, fancy free and before I got into swinging. Not so much for dating, wasn't seeking that at the time, just for hook ups and fwb's. I found a fair bit of success on there for that. I enjoyed my time Tinder

Definitely an age related thing on Tinder. I had one meeting, well several actually with a lovely woman. I really liked her, we had coffee then a week later she called and asked if I would take her out for dinner on her birthday. We had a lovely evening. I was on my best behaviour, I drove her home, quick peck on the cheek, thanks for a lovely evening and that was it. A week later she called in a panic , she’d had a letter through her door from a woman that was stalking me telling her to keep away. It frightened the life out of her. The stalker who lived 20 miles away must have been waiting in my village and saw me drive through at 11pm on a Friday night. That remains my only Tinder date.

So exactly the same as Fab then :P

Personally my experience of when I was last single around 4 years ago is the more sex orientated the site/app, the less sex I got from it. I wasn't bad looking at the time so I got plenty but the vast majority was from POF with only a few from Tinder.

L was one of those few however, so I can't judge it too harshly haha

I’m currently using tinder and i must say I’m very surprised, I have had six dates in three weeks, of course I’ve been the perfect gentleman but I never thought I’d get any interest

You don’t need to upgrade, you can find out who liked you by setting the distance at the lowest one. Anyone that pops up on your page that is further than the 1km or whatever it is, has swiped yes on you.
