An unusual request, surely you would select a tattoo artist by the quality of their art rather than their sexuality?

Must admit, I'm confused as to why you would want that specifically rather than just a good tattoo artist of any gender

Most tattoo artists are non-judgemental - I've been to a few and they tend to have seen it all...

Am I the only person seeing the fact is she's looking for a TV friendly person.to do a tattoo for her. And she just maybe want someone she can relax better with. If you cannot answer the question there's no need to answer it Asking why she's wants this or that not given her an answer

While not tattooed myself, I have been pierced a LOT by non-trans piercers while I am in female mode.

None of them are bothered. As others say, they have seen it all before. My piercers have seen lots of trans customers of various degrees of convincingness.

You're a paying customer and are actually probably more interesting than most of their customers.

Just find the right tattooist for the sort of tattoo you want and go for it.

And just a general point - trans people need to stop being so paranoid about it - the world really isn't that scary a place and you can generally get out and about and do what you like while presenting as the opposite gender.

It’s an open forum, people can say what they like as long as they stay within the rules.

I took it to mean that she wants a tattooist who is trans or gay themselves.

I had a garter tattoo a few years ago. He didn't think it remotely unusual for a man to have a garter tattoo and he had been asked for some very strange stuff before.

Apparently someone asked him to split his penis and plait it. He refused to take that job on.

In all honesty I would be looking for the best tattoo artist with the emphasis on his/her art not their sexuality after all its the end product that counts for the years you have it.
