After after more than one bad experience,we need help! What are the red flags that make you think a profile isn't what it say it is.we ask because we are clearly awful at seeing them and it seems to be getting worse. X

Recently created profiles but the person has been around before. Know some really bad meets and because no one will give them a positive verification or block them they create new profile. They are as bad as fakes.

If by fake you mean the person isn't who they claim to be the only sure way to find out is to meet them for a drink.

If they have pictures run them through a reverse image search. People do have photos on other sites so it doesn't always mean they're fake but if it matches models from South America it's usually a good sign.

Wanting to meet you without exchanging photos.

Moving straight to sex chat.

Asking to immediately move to another communication method.

These are all signs that a profile is fake but not always.

I guess we have just been unlucky! We have become a lot more doubting of people and it's not really why we wanted to get into it! We wanted to make friends in the lifestyle and it seems we end up upset because of it.we are gonna keep trying but it is starting to get to us x

I get that completely and with us it’s on a case by case basis.

We totally understand that we were once unverified and our first meet was with another new unverified couple so definitely not all equal fake.

I think with us, we are just extra cautious with non verified. We don’t rule them out

No veries, excusable if they have only just joined, but otherwise a big no-no from us.

Pictures of only the male half, or no pics of them together, always check all pics with some version of reverse image search i.e. Tineye or similar.

Female half always unavailable to chat to on cam or on the phone.

Going straight to "fantasy" or overtly sexual chat when messaging.

Poorly written bio, with a general "feel" of being written by a male only.

Only online late at night, and rarely on weekends.

Requesting pictures, usually of a sexual nature.

Overly keen to move chat to some other platform (Kik, Skype etc).

Not all the above are definite indicators, but the more they tick off, the more likely they are to be fake.

I think a lot of people come to swinging expecting to find a group of open, inclusive and honest people. Sadly it isn't always like that and you need to be a little worldly and dare I say it cynical.

When we joined 10 years ago, it was more "underground", and less like a hook-up site.

Since then guys have found it, and it's now become somewhere that they go looking for free sex, and a lot will say, and do, anything to get it.

We are trying to organise a social now for that very reason.we feel pushy asking people to jump through hoops for us lol.but your right it take 30 seconds and that way you can be sure.we usually ask for a web chat after a little while before anything gets to heavy and that helps x

I also think it is really useful to cultivate friendships and conversations with people - not just sex based but to swap notes. It can also add to the safety of the more vulnerable people on here. If we highlight where we have had serious doubts about people then it can only be a good thing. Obviously you report where the are significant issues but as I say earlier people just create new profiles. Admin do not like naming and shaming which is understandable as we don't want lynch mobs but local networks are good things.

Other 'red flags' to watch out for are obvious lies like saying they are muscular when clearly they would would struggle to get off their sofa or not able to share pics because they are awaiting admin approval when they joined days ago.

If a profile hasn’t got any verifications after a month they are either fake or dreamers, bi girl only chasers or fantasists. In all cases best to move on. We’ve always lived by that rule and it’s never let us down

One for us is the single female with pictures obviously taken by another party. So who? Just as likely to be the boyfriend/husband or ex partner using old pics taken in "fun" rather than the woman herself.

It doesn’t say that in the text you’ve quoted it says we just avoid unverified for a NUMBER of reasons not just because we think they are fake and the reality is we get enough interest not to warrant spending any time on anyone we have the slightest doubt about, that was the point, so stop feeling insulted

To be fair I'd say 2 maybe 3 months as opposed to just a month thinking about it.

If they have been here for 3 months+ and haven't been verified by then it's a no go for us now. Even single guys if they are serious could have attended a club by then.

It's been let down to many times now that has made us implement this and it's definitely cut down on the no show / time wasters to be fair.

Spend a long time getting to know people online before meeting. Fakers will not want to do that. Ask for a video chat such as Skype or Kik. Fakers wil not want to do that.

You'll see a lot of brand new accounts with non sexual face pics of pretty girls in their 20s that look like they could be facebook profiles...cos that's where they have been nicked from!!! Usually with overtly sexual updates looking for guys to contact them.

Pics that don't stack up, as they're distinct from usual profiles - though could be copied.

A slant on a couples profile that hints it's a man, not a woman contributing.

A reluctance to engage on your terms.

Eagerness to meet without full communication.

Pics that appear elsewhere or are like models. Extremely long cocks can be a giveaway

Dislike a phone chat

Individual aspects of these may be fine but if several arise, I'd be more wary.

From our limited experience:

1. No profile photo (it's not hard to make a profile image where faces cant be seen)

2. Requesting a face photo from them and they demand we switch to KIK (WE NEVER use kik now apart from if we have already met)

3. After chatting and friends requests have been accepted:

They only have body shots in their friends only pictures and deffo no face pics

4. A handle which is a string of words like:

Applehorny88

(As an example and is NOT an actual handle)

5. Their profile information after over a week of being on here is:

"..." or "fill in later"

6.No veris since being on here (often over a year)

I think I got the main ones...

Biggest one for me is requesting pictures when a blank profile and not verified either by photo or meet. If you're unwilling to send or upload your own pictures why ask? Then they'll use the excuse of their job. Load of shit. Also watch out for users with multiple profiles using copy and paste messages.

Another one is using photos of porn actors. I had a guy using photos of Max Deeds messaging me. Luckily I follow him on snapchat. Lucky escape because had I not known I'd have been well up for that meet. Let the lad talk shit for a while then asked him when his next porn film was out. Instant deletion of profile.

You missed the point I think, You have veris so logic would assume one of those took the pics so no bother. Your early pics look like you took them yourself? Maybe pre any meets? so the sort of pics you would expect.

Hi,

We usually don't bother with anyone online anymore. It's generally only people we meet at Clubs or organised socials that we bother with. FAB is generally used to keep up to date with club events, socials and to keep in touch with people we've met before.

The way profiles are written is a big clue as are photos, reverse image searches work well but other things that are easy to spot are the weirdly changing tattoos (although we do have some that were taken before some tattoos, so look at the order of posting), piercings, distinct marks or features that change between pictures. We once questioned a guy why he was driving a left hand drive car on the wrong side of the road (for the UK) and where his neck tattoo had gone...

People that obviously haven't read your profile or looked at your preferences are also a no go for us, doesn't necessarily scream fake but doesn't say much about the effort they would be likely to put into a meet.

We weren't photo verified for a long time as we don't believe it is much use if not compulsory for everyone, yes there are ways to fake it but that takes an amount of effort that most chancers won't put in.

Verifications are the other thing we would go by. Everyone starts somewhere so can't all have verifications early on, but it is a good indicator as to being genuine. Watch out for a string of overly complimentary ones about sexual performance as these could well be self written with other profile names, check out the profile of those that wrote them for similar time on site, hidden profile, etc.

Probably loads more but gut feel and experience is likely the most important factor.
