I had a date this weekend with an old school crush, it went fantastic. Yay.. except...

Hands wandered, kisses were intense but no sex and he wants to take it slow. Totally fair and I get it... kinda.

So why am I in such a horrible mood about it? I'm grumpy and peed off and I cant even explain why..

Assuming that he is completely unaware of fab, and your presence on it, then maybe you should see this as a good omen.

It seems to me that maybe he has a little crush of his own and doesn't want to ruin it by being too forward.

The next date will probably move things forward that little bit more, and I'm sure the wait will build the anticipation.

Um, when I was younger the rules were first date make it special but just finish with a kiss (leave them wanting more) don't ring straight away leave it a day after then ask for another date but make it for a week later (anticipation) make this date about her then finish the evening by following her lead, passionate kiss followed by eye to eye smile then kiss again ah I remember the game well, you chase a lover till they catch you. Do you really want a serious partner who thinks your a slut, no if he's playing the game of love which is often mistaken for the game of conquest then you will find anticipation of the sex makes it much more intense, god I love life.

It sounds like you are at different places in regards to your expectations for how quickly you get to sex. He's stated at first proper date he wants to go slowly and you'd already fancied it for today, feeling negative that it didn't.

Possibly you both want the same or different things longer term? If there's a minor mismatch now on sex needs, presumably it's inconsequential if you are generally well matched wanting something similar long term.

If you're not exclusive and you agree a longer wait for sex, you can solve this yourself - it's all probably showing how your lifestyle contrasts with this new deviation. Your motivations and priorities will ultimately be things you settle. And you both probably will be flexible, so it may only be days before you meet and shag. It would be painful as well as exciting for me, if I was in the same situation

I think your grumpy because as a woman you feel let down like he rejected you but he didn’t he has taken the step to resist temptation and make it about a connection mentally before physically so embrace it and be happy it turned out that way

I think fab distorts your view of things sometimes and I think that's why I felt so disappointed. You are very right though, if a 'vanilla' relationship is going to happen then respecting boundaries are a must.
