Yes I also think it’s insulting for that reason. I won’t reply to anyone “seeking a unicorn”. To be fair I’m very unlikely to reply to straight m / bi f couples anyway

If unicorn is the worst thing I get called in a day it’s a good day!

I think the term is just because they are rare.

‘Couple looking for chicken or pig to play with’ not quite the same ring to it. Also technically it’s not an animal as we know it. It’s not real. Like mermaids. I’m a unicorn, although I’m not the one with the horn
